Does anybody else have a difficult time watching QVC? It has changed so much over the years, some might say for the better but I don't think so.

@Grnthumb I never did watch Q very much on television and then mostly late at night when I couldn't sleep.

We've been cable-free for about 20 years. The cost kept going up and there was less worth watching to us.

We do have internet and a couple of streaming services (Amazon & Paramount thru Walmart membership). No Roku or Firestick. I just go online now and browse and watch a few snippets if the product is of interest.

I don't think the products are as innovative and interesting as they used to be. Too many presentations remind me of those late-night info-mericials. A half hour of inane drivel about a vacuum or a food saver or some such shlock.

Presentations are tooooo long. If I need more info I can get it on my computer. I rarely order. Too costly and I read here on the  forum about so many probs. w/returns. Very discouraging. If the powers that be do not read this forum they SHOULD.

Sure could use a little good news today.

Many good hosts replaced with younger hosts  and definitely not as experienced.  Hopefully someone lets Steve Doss know that Charleston is in South Carolina not North Carolina AND your items are safe in your cart fo an hour.  Nobody can "steal" items from your cart!  Pat/Rosina!   Miss Carolyn big time!  Someone made a huge mistake there!

I miss when the Q used to have exciting TSV's. I looked forward to seeing it every day. Vendors used to put a lot of work into presenting something special for TSV's. They were so good, I had to remind myself that I couldn't buy one every day.

And look what they've turned into!!! Sometimes something old that sold out well before. It's successful to sell a few thousand. Vendors used to take pride in them and were perturbed if it didn't sell extremely well.

Now, it's just some old product that they show all day long, nothing exciting and bored with the showings!

From time to time I'll get something (usually an item of clothing that isn't ridiculously high priced and something I really, really need) or something else that I just can't find locally.  But since I started watching many years ago, QVC has gotten boring and monotonous with TSVs that just aren't worth being called a TSV in my opinion.  I just don't find it interesting enough to tune in except for a few minutes during certain shows.  Guess you could say I'm on to better things such as reading a good book since most TV now is junk. That's my baby boomer two cents.....

I'm put off by the "50's are everything" promo and the  possiblity of a senior discount even though you have an AARP card isn't possible.  Hmm.

QVC is an antiquated model trying to work in tandem with today’s world. It doesn’t work.  They need their base to survive, but they want to bring in younger viewers.

Products do not support this model.  Except for makeup, but younger people don’t want the supersized make up. If they follow influencers, they change what they use frequently.

Sephora has free shipping both ways.  You can also go in the store and try the product.

QVC was exciting and new 37 years ago. Today it’s an old dinosaur.

I do not have the answer of how they can keep afloat in an ever changing way of shopping.  Everytime they try to change it up their customers who have been with them for years complain they dont like the changes. However, they have to change to keep up with the way people shop now.  I am a senior and think this whole 50+ campaign is a joke.  I don't need their help to accept where I am in life and their programming really has nothing to do with aging other than to try and convince us that it does!  Its stupid and a waste of money they are spending on it.  I see they are planning on going on the  road more with presentations; is that exciting to anyone?  Shipping charges are a big issue with a lot of people but if they call it free shipping it will just jack up the price which people are already saying is too high. I wish them luck but don't have high hopes.

@febe1

I agree a bout looking forward to TSV, etc.  I learned about so many products from QVC.  Clarisonic, Frost Guard, etc.  This winter  could have used another Frost Guard, but it has been few years since I purchased mine and reviews talk about cheapening the item.  It was so good I hated to invest in a disappointment.  Shoes still interest me but shipping cost is prohibitive.  Philosophy products too large and others not a deal.  I so miss informative hosts.  They represented with a polite grace.
