What host is on the air before they go to tapes programming for Christmas ?

years ago, Steve Bryant would volunteer to "close" QVC because he was a bachelor who lived alone. He would bring his dog Mandy on air and would read a Christmas story to everyone. It was a nice way to end the frantic shopping season. QVC now will probably "sell" right up til closing time.

"Jane's Closet" with Jane Rudolph Treacy.  "Rudolph" is appropriate for Christmas Eve, but Jane will probably take the day off.

My cable guide says the last show is "Jane's Closet," so maybe It's Jane.

I'll be tuned in, it's a tradition of mine to watch the closing ceremony then the taped programming. I leave it on as background noise all through the night and day, and only Change the channel to the annual "Yule Log" on the Hallmark mystery Movie channel which has the cutest dogs and cats in front of the fire.

Although I came to QVC after Bryant had left (I assume that because I have no memory of him), his Christmas Eve stint did a good thing for others but also for him.  People who live alone really need to do what Bryant did and find a tradition for holidays that makes them a part of something bigger than themselves.  Sorry I missed "knowing" him.

Dies anyone remember when Kathy Levine brought her dog and read " A .Cup of Christmas Tea " , it always made me cry.

That was the best.

Didn't they used to sell a teacup and book or something when she did the presentation? 

Those were the days when I watched, shopped AND enjoyed QVC.
