I couldn't agree more.  This is nuts. The good thing is that I'm saving money by them having christmas things all weekend!

Shove it down our throats  for 6 months then take it all down on the 26th.  I LOVE Christmas but this year's programing is particularly obnoxious.

Re: Do we have to look at Christmas for 6 months?

We still have lots of Summer time to go.  I for one, want to see clothing I can wear during the Summer-cooler clothing.  I could see maybe a few days or a week devoted to Christmas in July, but this is ridiculous.

Maybe they still have inventory from last year to dump.  Saves me money cause I have no interest.

Maybe?  No maybe about it.  It would appear they still have inventory from five years ago to dump...  And their M.O. never changes from holiday season to holiday season...  Can't wait for those 'stocking stuffers'...

The set of 5 flashlights was a lunchtime special yesterday!  LOL

Oh darn and I missed it...  And they make such GREAT stocking stuffers...  Not only did I miss the item, but I missed the host educating me as to all their many possible uses and the full array of all the folks to whom I could give them....  And you know, what are the odds they'll be repeated (like say maybe a thousand times) before the actual big day in DECEMBER...?

No one here said they hate Christmas.  I love Christmas.  AFTER Thanksgiving.

QVC has had x-mas in July for as long as I can remember.  But, they used to do a day of x-mas in July programming and then they changed it to a weekend of x-mas in July.  Now, they had all day x-mas programming July 1, they've had a number of x-mas programs throughout the entire month and this weekend is the official x-mas in July programming.

Once QVC does x-mas in July, it's full steam ahead for x-mas programs.  We will see at least one day every month dedicated to x-mas programming.  At the rate they've been going, I suspect we will see holiday programming sprinkled throughout the months through December.

When QVC can no longer guarantee holiday delivery, and everyone else is in the midst of full-on holiday celebrations, every tree and x-mas bauble will be stripped from the sets and it will look like any other day at the Q.

After Thanksgiving leaves only three weeks until Christmas, not nearly enough time to buy presents, decorate, prepare for it, bake, etc., especially if one works outside of the home, etc.  Maybe July is a bit early, but I will watch this weekend, and if I buy, I know that I will be paying less compared to prices down the line.

I work outside the home and do all that.  I personally find excellant deals after Thanksgiving and closer to the holiday.  But, I don't have a lot of people to buy for either and no children.

My thing is, I don't want people stuck with what I bought them because I bought it so early they can't return it if it doesn't work out, the size doesn't work, etc.

Plus, the hot toys aren't even out yet for the kids/grandkids.  I also feel sorry for people buying some of these toys from shopping channels thinking their grandkids are going to want them because the hosts are telling them they are the latest/greatest thing.

I agree.  Whether you work outside the home or not, this is SO not the only game in town for Christmas presents or decor...  And you know, you can start as early as you want or wait as late as you want and STILL not be limited to this dredge, either for gifts of decor. If there isn't the time or interest in going to stores, there are tons of websites out there offering Christmas decor and and there are even more offering items that can be potential gifts.  Almost all of them offer more sales, incentives, and variety than does QVC.  Force of habit is one things, but assuing this is the only or best way to shop for Chrismas is just plain wrong.

Re: Do we have to look at Christmas for 6 months?

It wouldn't be so bad, except that it's the same STUFF year after year!!!

10+ years ago, the items were more unique every year, and I bought quite a bit.  Now, Christmas in July is time for getting rid of the stuff, that has mediocre reviews, and is left over from last year.

Re: Do we have to look at Christmas for 6 months?

I'm with you  these shows are so boring .  I remember  these  xmas shows would start

after Halloween,  now every year it gets earlier and earlier but in July enough already. Not

everyone celebrates xmas.  I turn off qvc when these shows are and the cooking shows too.  Way too much all at one time!
