Dinner with David - new show on QVC

On Wednesday, 20 March in lieu of "In the Kitchen with David". I remember him having that show years ago.  Interesting that they are bringing that show back in that time slot.  It was a show that included many of the vendors from the show in a dinner/social environment enjoying the food that was being offered.  It was a nice change of pace.   As I recall, this show was on a Friday, early evening.  I actually think it would be nice to have a show like that on Friday.  Would be nice to break up countless hours and days of clothing and accessories etc.

The more peeps DV has for "dinner" the less he has to taste anything.

This may strike many of you as "strange".....but I really do not care to watch people eating.

Gather 'round the dinner table with Program Host and QVC's Resident Foodie David Venable as he prepares memorable meals with his special guests.

So are they trying to make David look like a chef again?

I'd much rather QVC have real chefs prepare meals using items David could sell.  But leave the chef alone to demonstrate and cook, and not have David interrupting with his tired & repetitive ad libs and close-up shots of "a lot of DV in your TV."

HSN has a show that I really enjoy called, "KitchenHQ featuring Chef Shahir."  He is largely on his own to cook, with minimal interruptions by the host doing additional selling.

There's nothing social or genuine about it.  It's just a food and cooking show with a different format.  The intent hasn't changed.  They are SELLING merchandise to their customers via a pretend dinner party.

I agree.  I remember when David and others at least prepared a few dishes.  I enjoyed that format.

@cheriere

I loved watching Blue Jean Chef Meredith. Didn't just watch, also ordered several Cooks Essentials products she presented, some of my favorites to this day.

I still follow her; some of my favorite recipes that I have in my regular rotation are hers.

@rockygems123    I love the Blue Jean Chef too!  Her recipes were always things most everyone would enjoy and the ingredients were likely on hand.  I miss her too.💝
