Difference between "waitlist" and "backordered"

I ordered an item and it went through but the next day it was listed as backordered....what does that mean? Same as being on waitlist?

Waitlist - QVC is requesting the manufacturer to produce more to fulfill the order.

Backorder - an item will go to backorder because the inventory QVC was originally advised of was incorrect. QVC gives the manufacturer around two weeks to produce or obtain more.

This information is per @Beth-QVC.

Thanks for the info! Guess I'll see in around 2 weeks.

@silkyk  For your sake, I hope so. Smiley Happy

Beth posted that in response to someone else asking many months ago. If that information has changed, hopefully she will respond to the notification I sent her.

@silkyk    Good Afternoon,

@World Traveler  is correct as to the difference in a backorder vs waitlist.  Feel free to email us the order info to QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com, we will be happy to take a look.
