Re: Did QVC kick its Viewpoints Community Members To The Curb?

There is no Q Board without Viewpoints.  Now I have to figure out if I want to join that other Board or not.

Obviously the Q is no longer interested in having a "Community Chat," if you look at the forums that are available.  Only four do not relate to Q products.

Re: Did QVC kick its Viewpoints Community Members To The Curb?

It seems that frowning on "Current Events" rules out politics, which was always problematic, but I wonder what topics are safe?  Can we talk about fracking, recycling, animal testing by cosmetic companies, the paleontological accuracy of Jurassic World?

I don't see the old Viewpoints reforming and taking hold here.

Re: Did QVC kick its Viewpoints Community Members To The Curb?

Seems that way. I do like many of the new features they came up with. Granted it takes a little independent reading to get to know them, which I don't mind. I'm used to this at this point in my life. I'm not sure they realize that most people NEVER read their car's owner's manual, so it would be unlikely that they'd read this forum's "users manual". What I find astounding, is the inclusion of the gamer's threads on the community chat. You would think that community chat would be a new name only for what was viewpoints. Gamers should have its own forum. Wading through reams of threads filled with one word answers is not my cup of tea, when looking for an actual chat. As a matter of fact, those kinds of threads barely qualify as '''chat" by any definition. I don't like this flooding of a discussion category with games. It is coming across as spam in my mind. Not a criticism of gaming threads or their participants at all. Just a gripe about what QVC has done to the "Community", not with it.
