Did QVC Help You With Your Xmas Shopping This Year?

Yes, QVC did help, but I think I ended up paying too much for the Christmas gifts I exchanged this year.

I have about 10 friends I exchange gifts with.  They don't all know each other so I have about 4 luncheons I go to during December to exchange gifts.   This year I've attended 3 luncheons, 1 more to go.

For the luncheons in which I've already exchanged gifts, I've received lovely gifts from my friends; however, I think I ended up spending quite a bit more than they did because I purchased a lot of mine from QVC.

I puchased quite a few of the Philosophy soaps that came with gift bags.  Including S&H they came to about $18 per bottle.  I received body wash as gifts purchased from Bath and Body Works.  As we all know, you can really get those at a great price when they have their sales.  I like each brand equally!

I received food items, but from what I remember when reviewing adds, I saw some of the items I received for about $4 each.  I purchased from QVC Harry and David pop corn and Germack nuts.  My items cost about $8 each.

I think what I learned  (I guess I knew it before, but since I did more shopping with QVC for these gifts this year than I did other years I'm really noticing how much I spent ) is that I'm for sure paying for the convenience of shopping at home!!  The gifts I received are lovely - I like them alot, but I know they others spent about 50% less than I did for similar items!    Unfortuntely I don't have a money tree growing in my backyard!!

I guess I'll have to get this butt off the couch next year and get in those stores.  As they say, you live and learn.

Sorry QVC.

@BunSnoop.  It's nice when a poster evaluates her problem then lists the solution.  Makes it easy for the rest of us.  How fortunate you are to have so many good friends!

Not one bit.  I think QVC's Christmas shopping programming has been absolutely terrible, boring and didn't help me one bit.  I did do a lot of on-line shopping, but not with QVC, and I am a huge QVC shopper for years.  IMO this was their worst Christmas programming yet.

I do not recall ever doing any Christmas shopping on QVC, for the reasons you have discovered.

I do most of my shopping on line when I am offered deep discounts and reduced or free s/h, not charged for shipping per item.

I do buy clothing for myself here, but that's about it

Oops- full disclosure: I bought the Kringle Express gift bags. Love them! Could not find them elsewhere. Also bought the set of 3 Lenox ornaments. Came to $5.00 each and free shipping. Perfect.

That was it. I think the ornaments are still available, if anyone is interested in getting a head start on next Christmas' shopping. H216101.

I don't do the holidays but I sure do buy prezzies for myself.  I snag excellent bargains this time of year.  Thus far I've replaced my Nespresso espresso maker when they were 50% off and free shipping, finally gave into my Bose want when HSN had the today's special with free shipping, ordered Bare Minerals when their website offered 25% off and free shipping.  Smiles.  I do New Year's gifts for a few people and I'm using the California Innovations totes from Q (when they were the today's special) as the gift bags.  So far that's all I've ordered from Q for gifts.

No, it didn't. As I've posted a few times, I'm always in the market for Christmas/winter sweaters and sweatshirts. Almost nothing to choose from, so I saved a lot of money.

I had purchased a new line of skincare (new to me) from QVC for my use.  No gifts were purchased from QVC.  I did get the Campanelli TSV of the microfiber cloths for face.  I am trying them and if I like them I will gift some to my DD's for Valentine's Day.  (all finished for Christmas)

Like @queendiva, I bought some Kringle Express bags, but I didn't buy a single Christmas present from the Q this year. I typically get at least a few things here, but nothing really turned my head at all for the past few months as a potential gift.

Re: Did QVC Help You With Your Xmas Shopping This Year?

I purchased the set of 4 cold/hot mugs for gifts, but that's it. Then last weekend, I found I could buy the same hot/cold mugs elsewhere for $5 each. Not happy.

I purchased items, like the Beachwaver, for me, but I agree with you in that I shop for gifts elsewhere.
