Did I entirely miss a tragic event in Jayne Brown's life?

Just read Jayne Brown's blog about her decor for Christmas. She does have a gorgeous home and her style is fabulous. It's always thrilling to see some of her paintings hanging in her home, too!

Anyway, in the blog she mentions that "James is no longer with us." Have I completed missed his passing? I haven't been watching QVC in recent years, just checking videos if I'm intereted in an item. Jayne is such a professional and so friendly to everyone. Had no idea her husband had been ill. Will someone please give me details and when this happened? My heart grieves for Jayne, their girls and extended families. Such a beautiful family. Saddened to read this in her blog.

Jayne said Buzz the dog- is no longer with them.  See the dog ornament?

@BirkiLady...I read it the way you did...it read something like... James is no longer with us.....I thought James was her husband.

I don't watch Q any more either. Occasionally, I check the program listing and usually there is nothing. If I'm bored, I check the blogs and forum titles to see if there is anything there. Most days I don't even think about QVC.

I did look at Jayne's blog and pictures. It's interesting to see how much money they make. They suggest giving someone a gift that costs $100. or more. HA!

I thought when I read the passing that she meant the dog. But, I wouldn't know. I do know the mannekin "tree" creeps me out. She had a lot of stuff, but not my taste. I like traditional Christmas decor and not all the old Hollywood gaudy stuff. That's just my preference.

"James bought this Buzz ornament a couple years ago, it has a totally different meaning this year since he is no longer with us."  is how it reads.  Could be James or the dog; my guess would be the dog.

@faeriemoon

James bought this Buzz ornament a couple years ago, it has a totally different meaning this year since he is no longer with us.

After reading and re-reading I am pretty sure she is refering to Buzz the dog not James

Jayne's dog Buzz passed away at the beginning of June of this year.  He was nearly 17 years old and it was a loss to the family.

Ladies, I'm going to assume their dog died. Whew! RIP Buzz.

Thanks for the clarification! That sentence had me lost.

Yes, I am pretty sure it was her dog. Her house looked fabulous. So nicely decorated. I also try to do a few things different each year. Get tired of the same old same old year after year.
