For the hosts like MaryBeth and Jane and all the hosts that have been there over 20 years  the duties required of being a host have really changed and sometimes change is hard. I worked in an elementary school for 27 years and my job changed so much I finally decided to retire as it was no longer what I signed up for or enjoyed.  I wouldn't be surprised if the "older hosts" feel the same.

Exactly. QVC will be all streaming soon.

Older adults and seniors have no interest in streaming services or the cloud. I would be shocked if QVC leaves the TV business.

I'm the one who likes the 'entertainment' aspect.

Something 'different' (not boring) while presenting items.

Wishing all well, no matter what, why, etc.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I know plenty who stream.  Many who post here, use Roku, Apple tv, HULU, Firestick and Netflix to watch content.

Of course you do, as do most of us! It's just another generalization, about pretty much everything from this poster.

"Many are boycotting QVC."

"Many are missing Carolyn."

Perhaps.

But I'm not.  And I don't.

The company's sales have been down for a few years and they probably are desperate.

Q big-wigs wonder why sales are down. Many have told them but they think they know better.

Prices are far from competitive. Everything I wanted was found elsewhere for less money and free shipiping.

Hosts act like goofy pre-teens. (My apologies to pre-teens.)  Q's idea of entertainment is far from it.

I don't want to hear stories about families, vacations, who did what, inside jokes, baby talk, etc.

Hosts are salespeople, not friends or even acquaintances. Thinking otherwise is silly. Hosts and Q don't care about customers other than to make sales.

Full information about products are not given on air.

The same dozen products, or variations of, are shown over and over and over and over.

There is sooooooo much polyester...no matter the cutsie name it's given. I can find natural fabrics, even wrinkle-free, for less elsewhere.

Q needs to clean up its act in order to survive.

Q is trying to be relevant. Livestreaming and videos are a great way to reach a lot of people but they won't fix what's wrong.

@CalminHeart  Agree 100% with your posts.  Although I do not "stream" if QVC offered quality products at reasonable costs with shipping competitive to other retailers, I might give it a try.  As it stands now, I do not watch and have no incentive to "stream."

I've been using streaming services for about 3 years now to cut the cable cord and save money.  QVC's app used to have several "Q" channels with live hosts so you could always find a topic that interests.  Now they have eliminated alot of live shows and are running reruns on Q 2 so many of the items they sell are either sold out or no longer that price.  So I don't even bother to look at Q2 and can't even tell you if Q3 is on any longer.  It looks like their focus seems to be a bunch of prerecorded interviews or information shows they've added to the app instead.  The only one I watched in the last year was on David's weight loss.

After reading thru everyone's comments, it seems like it would make more sense to devote Q2 or Q3 to the more mature viewers who do a lot of shopping with one host per show who knows how to sell products we want.  Detailed product descriptions, no dancing, no non stop talking, no drinking wine, etc.

We'll do the wine drinking on our end thank you very much!
