I just saw on facebook that David Venable's mother is in the hospital and he is going to fly there. If you believe in praying, pray she is okay.

I got to meet her at a book signing David had at a Barnes and Noble. You could tell they were very close and how proud she was of him. They both were so gracious and took the time to say hello and made everyone feel like special guests.

I got his cookbook for a friend.

It is always worrisome when our moms or family get sick and we just want them to be ok! I hope she will be.

I send prayers for David's sweet mother Sarah. I pray her pain is relieved, I pray that knowledge and skill is given to all her care givers as they restore her health.  Blessings to her family as they comfort her.

Sad to hear and hope she recovers quickly and completely. It seems that he and his mother are very close; I can imagine how concerned he is. My mother had to go in hospital in '96, spending two full weeks there. Thankfully I was only an hour away and was able to take off work to spend her final two weeks together. Glad he's able to be by her side, it'll help soothe her and hoping it will help her get better soon.
