Lisa likes to emphasize how she tweaks items to make them her own personal designs and stated this again with David. Oddly though, a while back, when asked about a watch she “designed” she could not remember if the watch face was black or blue. Huh. If she is that invested, wouldn’t she remember? Just another sales tactic/song and dance that blows over the Tribe’s collective heads.
@Sheilaray, I agree! Lisa has said so many contradictory questionable things throughout this business venture of hers that it really makes you wonder what is real and what is not. Most of the tribe doesn't even pick up on anything because they are just so enamoured by all she does and want to be just like her. And why can't she ever say QVC (instead of her former job) when all of her customers are from Q anyway. It's so silly. She sounds extremely bitter about her departure whenever she speaks of Q. It really tells a lot!
She has said that she's never spent a minute to look at the Q. You don't get much more bitter than that. She must hate the Q.
Based on previous threads/posts removed for being inappropriate...there are several 'bitter' posters that Lisa has banned for stalking and harassment, so now they use QVC forum to express their bitterness with weekly 'hate on Lisa' threads.
They must really have a HUGE chip on the shoulder and lots of hate towards Lisa. It really tells a lot!
Lisa seems very content & happy which just fuels the bitterness of some others.
@Chi-town girl, this is a very bold statement that is not based on fact and your opinion only.
Personally speaking, I have explained my personal experience with Lisa’s new business and yes, I post here as a “buyer beware” opinion based my my experience. However, rest assure that I am not bitter, don’t stalk Lisa or harass her, nor am I jealous, do not have a chip on my shoulder, or hate Lisa.
In fact, I’ve never seen any of these ever on these multiple threads. I do see people sharing their observations and experiences both good and bad ( with perhaps a few sassy jokes thrown in for good measure ). The only mean comments are from people accusing others of having an agenda other than just sharing thoughts about the topic.

If you’re saying that those on the QVC forums who have a negative word to say about Lisa Robertson have all been banned from her FB page, not so. I certainly have not been. I see her FB page as well as the unadvertised “secret” group, and neither have ever had any reason to even delete a single post of mine, let alone ban me. Oh dear.
LOL “lots of hate.”
I never paid the slightest attention to Lisa when she was on QVC because I don’t watch the fashion and jewelry shows. I didn’t care a thing about her one way or the other.
It’s her own words, and her actions since she has left QVC, since she started her FB page and since she set up her online business that have formed my unfavorable opinion of Lisa Robertson.
It never fails to see your snarky meanspirited comments towards Lisa and QVC shoppers. Adolescent name calling, snark, snark, snark. Lots of hate and bitterness seepage...stalking her Facebook page and running here to post twisted interpretations. All of this from someone who 'doesn't care', um right ![]()

Funny (in both senses) that invariably the actual personally nasty posts are made by the Herd/Lisa fans and not by those who have issues with her business model and at times, law-breaking behavior (videotaping while driving).
I have a feeling that Lisa would be encouraging this behavior, just like she encourages it on her FB page.
I don’t think Mr. Markstein would find it all that classy or appropriate.

What I got from it wasn't that she was at QVC for 20 hours a day. It seemed it had to do with the GILI line and "her" other lines. She said decisions often had to be made so she was getting phone calls, etc.
Maybe she put all the time in thinking more was going to come of those lines carrying her name and that never happened.
I still say she wanted to "own" those lines and stop hosting. That's why she left.
I wondered if she wanted the job of creative director that Jill Martin got.

Not sure what "advice" those kids at the university actually took away from Lisa's speech but the entire thing was odd. Seemed like it was just yet another platform for lisa to express her thoughts on how great she thinks she is and to bash Q. But furthermore as to your point regarding "she worked nearly 20 hours a day at Q it's a no wonder she left". It always makes me laugh when people are appalled at this statement. Isn't Lisa working just as much NOW with her own business as she was at Qvc?? Lol! I would say she's working even more hours today than ever before!! Now Lisa is buyer, model, production, photographer, host etc. The list is endless of all she has to do with her own company than working for QVC. But I've noticed Lisa just likes to use that line (working 20+ hrs a day) for the public because it pulls at the heartstrings of many and gives a "believable" excuse of why she no longer works there. But even still, 20+ hours a day seems like such a stretch. Let's not forget, it's been made public Lisa also said she would hide out in her home and afraid to go out because of her stalker. And we all deduced that line simply was not true either. It certainly is not true today if it was ever. Anyone who ever had those issues with a stalker would never be so forthright with all the info she posts on FB of her whereabouts.
Whatever she worked, she did it to remain relevant and was paid for it.

I'm not on Facebook, so I can't post on her page, but I do read her posts. I don't read the responses, though. It's too time-consuming. I wish Lisa all the luck in the world. She's a class act.
This doesn’t sound like “hiring” or “working for”, it sounds like the common practice of paying an “expert” a fee for being able to use their name connected with your business - like Andrew Weil is always mentioned in connection with Vionic. It’s more a paid celebrity endorsement so the company can say “look who’s working with us and likes our stuff.”
There is no way that Lisa would have the funds to have multiple “experts” on her 40 hr/wk “payroll” exclusively (which is her inference).
Whenever I look at any of the shopping channels or jewelry channels I’m usually turned off by their “jewelry experts” - who are “experts” because they, the hosts and the network says they are and because some of them may have a gemological cert. They typically give me the creeps as human beings (don’t know anything about Markstein, not referring to him), and they will say that whatever the channel is selling is excellent quality and very valuable, whether that’s true or not. Shopping channels and jewelry channels sell a lot of cheap kwap for “unique” and “valuable” kwap. Many of them sound like carnival barkers and corner hawkers.
Now I can understand having some real designers on to talk about their jewelry that they actually designed....but I find it odd that Diamonique needs an "expert" to hawk simulated diamonds..........:womanfrustrated. And why the need to hire the former JTV couple to act as experts (all that does is just add to the price of Q's overpriced jewelry) do they think it makes the jewelry to appear special and therefore customers will accept a higher price????? who knows but doesnt make sense.................
I enjoyed Lisa as a host, I'm certainly am not a "tribe member"...just on a rare occasion will check out her FB page to see what she's selling in the way of Christmas stuff but never bought anything ......so this is JMHO but Lisa hiring people for various categories sounds like she's hiring shoppers instead of doing it all herself, and then she'll probably put it on her website and sell it with her Facebook videos..........Perhaps all the traveling is getting to her.....and that traveling has to be expensive too..

I wish I could find that article that discussed "A Day In The Life Of A QVC Host".....and it talked about not only the time spent on air on their shows, but all the meetings they went to, so they could learn about the products that would be presented on upcoming shows, meeting with the production team also....then the time it takes to have their hair and makeup done...some of them talk to stylist about what to wear on the show.....etc etc.....Since GILI was Lisa's "baby" She probably talked to buyers/manufacturers about the products for those shows etc etc....And then time spent on emails and social media that QVC requires them to do on their social media pages. She did get to go to the jewelry factories on occasion and of course she did those shows from Italy in those beautiful gowns which probably needed to be expertly fit by Mark Zunino is where she said they were from.....
I can believe she put in long hours (of course I dont know how many 20 a day, is probably an exaggeration) .....And from what I read someone used to critque the host's presentations after the show too...And if she wanted to receive some of that big bonus money, which QVC mentioned they awarded to hosts that were top sellers --she probably didnt mind the extra hours if she wanted that extra cash.....I know when she was interviewed once she said her hobby was "sleeping".....LOL.......

@Spurt, to hear her tell it, Lisa LOVES to travel, travel, travel, schmooze with and name drop being BFFs with current QVC vendors. As for the traveling being expensive - the tribe is totally financing that, AND she can write it all off as business expense.
It appears to me as if she’s doing it all herself and is “buying names” to make it look as if “experts” are advising her and she’s taking their advice. She thinks that will impress people - and it certainly will impress some, especially those who actually believe Lisa is halfway to a shopping empire and has the $$ and power to hire multiple “top” experts to be on her 40 hr/wk payroll. Oy....
As to all the other jewelry vendors on all the various jewelry channels, I have two thoughts - most of it is total kwap, and the stuff presented as estate jewelry worth tens of thousands of dollars (they claim) - I should believe that because they (nameless, faceless barkers on a TV channel in many cases) say it? Or because they “certify” it? Um...no, not me.

Lisa has hired three people QVC fired.
I hardly think that is a ringing endorsement for the entire group of them.
