I agree, @On It. I like David a lot and will miss him. That was not always the case. Years ago many times David would stand right beside Joan presenting items along with the QVC host. I did not like him in that role as he seemed a little pushy...and with a force of nature like Joan there who needs him anyway. Ha!

But when Joan died and he had to step in under tremendously sad and shocking circumstances, he was superb! I might be mistaken but I believe he did the first show back after Joan's passing with Jill Bauer. They handled it very well and I know it had to be incredibly difficult. Woman Sad

Job well done, David. Joan surely is very, very proud of you.

Never has seen David be ' pushy .' He has always been very polite and well-mannered.

Good grief

@Glitter51    But you never considered that your comment was insulting to people who like the Joan Rivers line???

He is the CEO of Joan Rivers Worldwide, so I guess he's a bit busy.

@ellaphant, good grief right back at you.

But I will rephrase what I said somewhat. Yes, David has always been very polite and well mannered, that's for sure. But I think the format of having David hovering right beside Joan trying to add to the item description was never necessary...felt like he was honing in. Not AT ALL his fault but just the way QVC chose to do it. And in that regard back then I did not appreciate David's input as much as later on when he was solo. He did a fantastic job taking over for Joan after her death. Incidentally, I felt the same recently in the exact same situation with George Brescia standing beside Lori Goldstein in addition to the QVC host presenting items. Just not necessary IMHO and a bit uncomfortable.

I would guess he is part of the letting go that is going on. Who will be next?  I guess someone I like because that seems to be the theme.

Joan Rivers fashion is dated and boring. I mean, how many big shirts does one person need!! Time for this line to retire.

@Glitter51    I agree and for some reason everything is 100% cotton which is high maintenance.  I think David's design capabilities are very limited.

I much prefer Bitsy's presentations.  David talks too much, says little, just toots his own horn.

I can't imagine cutting back on your work schedule to spend more time with a dog.
