Dan is taking a personal day?

I didn't catch exactly what Pat said when discussing Dan's absense  but she mentioned something about taking a personal day and she seemed pretty concerned.

 

What exactly did she say?

She seemed concerned?  How so?  I don't think there was a discussion as I doubt they are allowed to do that.  If he took a "personal day" it's personal.

I was concerned because I thought I heard him say when he was on with Amy that he would be on again today on the Pat and Dan show, so I was shocked when I didn't see him. She said he is fine and not to worry and that  he was taking a personal family day.  

 

Clearly none of our business but I think its in our nature to worry a bit.
