Dan Hughes joins scrub Daddy

This is hot off the press: Ex-QVC host Dan Hughes is joining New Jersey-based Scrub Daddy.

Hughes posted the news on Facebook Tuesday night.

"I am proud to be a part of the team that will spread the message of Scrub Daddy cleaning products to the world," he wrote.

Hughes noted that he is a fan of Scrub Daddy founder Aaron Krause, and his partner, Lori Greiner. If you recall, Greiner supported Scrub Daddy on "Shark Tank," and it became the most successful products ever on that show.

@BalletBabe Dan also responded to posters on his page that this is not on QVC, at least not in the near future. Christopher Joyce is still the Scrub Daddy brand rep for QVC.

In an earlier FB announcement, Dan said he would be on TikTok for his next job. Posters gave him some flack for that, but Dan seems to deflect that now, by not mentioning that social media platform by name in his latest announcement.

Hi Carol. My primary role with them will be to help build an already successful social media presence around the world. 12 to 16 hours of live demonstrations and product descriptions a week along with as many sponge jokes I can conjure up as we get the message of a great and diversified product line to the masses. Scrub Daddy is currently the #2 best selling sponge in America and they want to and deserve to be #1 (They are also the 2nd most famous at this point but that square pants fellow now has someone on his heels, lol)

No, Christopher Joyce does an amazing job for Scrub Daddy there although in the future I might fill in when he is not available. My position there is to grow their already strong social media presence and other platforms.

Doc, I am an international brand ambassador and will be doing 12 to 16 hours of live presentations for them on social media sights and their own website as well. The role will change as needed and and the goal is to make Scrub Daddy the best selling sponges and cleaning products in the world within the next two years.

@San Antonio Gal I agree with you. But you know, TikTok has been polarized by politics (like most everything else), and there are some that think very negatively of that particular platform.
