If you ever wondered what the difference is between QVC presentations in the US and UK, take a look at the Daily Mail Online story on shapewear modelled on air in the UK (Femail tab). This is an eye opener.

SunValley...thanks for the heads up. I usually check Mail On Line at least once a day, didn't get to it yet today.

Yep, I saw the same Daily Mail article and posted a note about it in fashion. I guess those British gals are a lot more risque!

I should have looked in Fashion first. I will say that we are certainly more conservative when it comes to mainstream media.. Those Brits may keep a stiff upper lip but everything else is on display!
Edited: well the thread in Fashion is moved, so we shall see how this one goes.

Don't worry, a mod decided that my post in fashion was too "riskay" for fashion. Let's see if this thread remains. I think I should insert an eyeroll here somwhere....

They certainly aren't as conservative as their American sisters are they? It appears the male audience appreciated them, personally I believe the models did a good job but wonder how comfortable they felt.

It's so odd that this is on TV in the UK but the Mods removed the thread with the link to the articl ehere. So everyone in the UK can see QVC models in their underwear but we shouldn't? I know - QVC's board, rules and decision to delete the thread. I'm just amazed that we aren't allowed to read about it when it's broadcast in the UK by this network!

This article, and those RISKAY pictures, was on the same page as QVC, a bit lower down, yesterday at least. All I did was scroll down a bit when I googled the QVC home site, and there it was. I guess it was very popular with a lot of guys. But "banned in Boston," and everywhere in US.

Boy that's sad... when the very proper Motherland can support a media that's not remotely as uptight as here in 'the colonies'... Wasn't there a war or something fought about being free from her 'oppression'... My gosh, and here we are so many years later still oppressing ourselves... I tell ya, those Puritans really knew how to live...
