Re: D&Co prices!

[ Edited ]

I think some of the items on the Q are a bit high. I saw the SG faux suede shirt for over $90, and a D & Co. basic pullover sweater for $70. If I really love an item, I will pay that much and sometimes more, but I can find similar items for less in my local stores or at their online websites.

My local clothing stores are not well stocked. I live in a suburb of a medium sized city. We have several malls and many stand alone stores. I've noticed there are fewer racks with fewer clothes and limited sizing. I would much rather shop in person and try things on before buying, but that's just not as easy as it was in the past.

Isaac was hawking his cashmere top today @ $277. I believe, and usually he wants to put a $1 in front of the price. Today, he said his sweater would be in the THREE THOUSAND in B&M.

Even Jen  gasped and she was unusually at a loss for words.

He is DELUSIONAL. NONE of his clothing is high end. His line is NOTHING special - BORING and RIDICULOUSLY overpriced.

To be fair with regards to Isaac’s cashmere.. he is correct about many high end cashmere designs often begin at 1k and more.. depending upon the quality of the knit fabric, the craftsmanship and the number of ply …
He was citing a certain high end designer brand known for their exquisite knits ( BC). I missed the ply number for Isaac sweater.. but if its at least 2-ply, then $277 is actually low in price considering QVC can manufacture a high number of sweaters which lowers the overall cost compared to b&m store offerings.

Most have never heard of BM designer.. so Jen gasping is irrelevant.
I will leave it at that… and i like all the hosts, and i am not being negative but they are only human.

I get my denim and many other really cute shirts at Costco.  I refuse to shell out $$$$ @ QVC.  Their quality has gone down and prices are crazy.  Duluth, Lands End, and Eddie Bauer are pricey too, but at least the quality is there.
