Re: Customers who call and go on the air

And they go on and on. My fav is "Highly Recommend......"

Oh wait... "I have Irish heritage".

I do not think these calls are a good sales technique and think they should be stopped.

Re: Customers who call and go on the air

I hate when the caller says, 'could I say hey to my aunt in Biloxi? She fell and broke her ankle and she's been laid up for about a week now. She's the sweetest thing and I wanted her to know we're thinking about her-HEY Aunt Phyllis! Hope you feel better real soon.'And sometimes they'll go on about other family members.

If the callers are older, lonely, bored, or whatever this would be a great place for them to peruse and find similar people. Maybe they just don't know about it.

Agree, 100%!  A caller has never persuaded me to buy a thing.  It takes up time and adds nothing to the presentation.

@jackiejenny  Thanks for the memory and laugh....I was watching that day and I must have laughed for hours that day..... but Leah did handle that call so professional.

I would imagine there has been a delay since that day!

I never hear callers anymore. I used to, back in the day. I don't think I've heard a caller on the air in years.

I agree and can't listen to them as many are cringeworthy. Remember the guy (and don't think he was old) who called in during a late night computer show? Rick Domeier asked the testimonial caller what he used his computer for and the guy told him porn! Between that and the cussing ones I can't believe they don't stop doing it.

There was a TSV a few months back of the 8Greens Drink Powder. I had the volume on low but I heard a caller just start bawling. I couldn't hear what was being  said but the host and vendor host had sympathetic looks on their faces. I'm not sure of the caller's situation but she was emotional.

Anyone remember that game? One time Rick was talking to a caller and was playing that game(Q Bird or something like that) anyway Rick was going on and on and she said she knew how to play the game,so hurry up! Very funny
