I have been a qvc shopper since the beginning. Purchased many clothing items throughout the years but now unfortunately I am pretty much priced out of buying anything. I love Kim Gravel but a Terry cloth hoodie at well over 70.00 including shipping and handling is ridiculous. Matching pants brought the outfit to over 120.00. Am I the only one who thinks these prices across the board are outrageous? Honestly, I'm finding so many similar items elsewhere for so much less.

Prices for everything is so high right now.  I'm not surprised by the cost of clothing, but I do agree that you can find the same quality pieces for less than on the Q.  I try not to shop too much anymore , don't need to, but when I do I look for free shipping, free returns and percentages off......I guess like a rewards thing.

@sissy01

I feel the same way!

These days I shop 'as is'/clearance clothing a lot, that brings each item into a more realistic pricepoint.

I agree, even the lunchtime specials are much higher than before.   But that is the reality we live in everywhere.   I tend to only purchase items that are on sale and as is.  Luckily I don't need anything.

It's not just at QVC. It's everywhere.

I'm a big Talbots and J Jill shopper.  All my clothes come from those 2 stores.  Just about each top at Talbots I find that I like is $90-100. Can't do many of those. Jeans there are also $95. But, they have a lot of promotions which helps.

J Jill doesn't seem to run as many sales on full priced items as they use to.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@sissy01 I happen to agree with you totally.I used to have a near by a KMART store,and shopped there quite a bit.My local mall,is pretty much empty with clothing stores,so it seemed I turned to Qvc and LandsEnd.Both being quite pricey.As long as I continue to work,I have to dress.Cant wait for the day,I can live in my jamies and robes.Have a great Sunday and upcoming week.

I don't follow the fashion trends much anymore--now I am not a bag lady by any means and I do try to buy at least one thing in trend/color each year but do not spend the big $$ on fashion. I shop around alot, I use coupons and follow sales. I take care of my clothing and don't wear it into the ground----I totally agree that the cost of clothes is outrageous but so is everything these days. One thing I try very hard to do--is to not pay for shipping!! And sometimes you can find free returns too. I think the shipping prices are criminal!! And I HATE waiting weeks for delivery!!! Would rather go to brick/mortar stores to shop.

If you enjoy wearing cotton, there is a strong chance it will be even more expensive next year. The local news ran a story last week about some farmers choosing to stop growing cotton because it is so costly to produce. Last year's drought resulted in a harvest crop of only 5% of the usual number of bales. No one seems to have a grasp how this turn of events will impact the marketplace.

Not long ago I was looking around on the internet to see what people were not buying during these times of high inflation and two things stuck out the most...clothes and shoes.

I think the prices are higher but far from outrageous. There have been price jumps and a top and bottom is now likely to cost $120 to $140.  In the price range of Chico's, The Gap.  Even Banana Republic.  Like it or not, QVC is not and really has never been a store for bargain shoppers.  It's likely that 30 plus years ago your income level was higher.  Everything in life is higher now and that's the world has ALWAYS been.  The candy bars that I got for ten cents in my youth, now cost $1.40.  The solution is shop where you get the best value for your money.  You say you are already doing that.
