Does anyone know if the hosts get a percentage of their sales? I sometimes wait to order something when a host I really like presents it...like today's Vionic tsv. Just wondering if it even really matters?
@spursfan2 Kathy Levin and David have both said they do not get a commission. It's strictly just a salary job.
If they had commissions then every host would be wanting the high mark-up shows, and some of the other items would be a real let down to whoever got stuck with them.

That's a good point. Thanks! it's just something I've always wondered about.
Salary and/or commission is between the host and employer. As with most businesses, I'm sure they require some level of productivity. But I don't need to know what that is. I don't want my salary or bonus made public either.
The hosts don't get a percentage, but if you prefer to order when a favorite host is presenting, by all means do so. How many orders they bring in during their presentations does matter. That's how they keep their jobs, or not. The more money a host brings into the company, the more valuable they are to that company, just like any other employee of any company.

@spursfan2 If so, David must be the richest man in the universe. That man can sell snow & ice to Eskamos. Everytime he happy dances, BOOM!!!!!!! Multi-gazillion $$$$ in sales.

In interviews for newspapers/magazines and financial journals I read that QVC hosts do NOT get paid commissions ....however, there are salary increases and bonuses awarded ......
