i think the policy should be changed to let one cancel if waiting over a certain number of days.
After all, in addition to it being inconvenient for the buyer, the buyer isn't able to budget and buy more if necessary.

i am with you. Just this morning I received an email about a delayed order. Interestingly, I ordered two of the item in the same color but a different size. One of the items finally shipped on day 7 (it is not here yet), but the other item began showing a changing EDD. I agree that items delayed or in process over a certain time should be able to be cancelled. More and more companies seem to be following the trend of making the customer wait. I have started my own trend: refusing packages that do not arrive when originally promised.

I agree! If they can't process any quicker then they do, we should have the option to cancel.

If this is a true TREND in online shopping it wouldnt surprise me to see more people going back to shopping in brick and mortar stores to make sure they get the merchandise they want!!!.....

I have no problems with most online buying and many arrive before the date.
It seems to me my delays are once UPS delivers to the local PO. I think that is my delay many times. I just do not buy anything I might want ASAP anymore because it is so unpredictable with QVC.

How about this? If an item doesn't ship within three days it ships for free! I know, that will never happen.

If it goes beyond the EDD, customer deserves to have the ability to cancel.
