Can anyone define the difference???  Now it is "it comes in several colorways".  Cant' they just say color?  Or are they trying to be cool?

Colorway is apparently used in the fashion/ textile industry to describe color combinations etc.

They are different with two different meanings. I suggest going to @geezerette comment as it is a very good description of both.

To add to those words I generally don't use....pack up, and silhouette and taking a tour of (when referring to purses)

I think of colorway as being a range of values in the same hue, like various shades of red or blue.  The color would be one specific color or hue.

I've made it to age 70 without including fabrication and color way in my vocabulary and I'm happy as a clam.  I think they sound pretentious.
