I remember David saying he hated fruitcake EXCEPT that other brand they were selling. Now he loves Claxton fruitcake.

I remember my father selling Claxton fruitcakes for the Civitan Club.

I love Claxton fruit cake since as a child we travelled to FL for the holidays and always stopped in Claxton, GA to buy it.

This year Sams didn't have it or other places I ordered it from Amazon vendor for $19.95/3 lbs. Came next day and fresh 🙂

Put 2 in freezer and am enjoying a slice each day.

Fruitcake is a big "no thanks" for me. But, it is nice that David enjoys it.

These are really good fruitcakes! I look for them every year. WalMart has always had them and my local supermarket. They've gone up in price to about $6 - $7 now and still worth it. The 3 lbs QVC has for sale is still worth it to me but I'm sure I can get them from my own resources. My Mother made a fantastic fruitcake and I've never been one to go out of my way for fruitcake, but I did for my Mom's and I do for Claxton!!

I remember selling Clayton fruitcakes door to door with my Dad with profits going to a scholarship fund. I felt so Important writing down the orders, lol. That was in the late 50's and early 60's. They have certainly passed the test of time.
