It's only May and they're already talking about Christmas in July?  That's ridiculous.

it’s crazy ridiculous that people are talking about CIJ. Let’s just enjoy spring and summer and deal with Christmas after Thanksgiving- I’ve never been one of these people who shop for Christmas early.  To me, it’s not a frenzy. I guess that I just don’t get all hyped up over Christmas.

I seriously hate Christmas in July!  Such a waste of time.

I love Christmas but give me a break! It would get so old if it was year around. Some people apparently are forgetting what it is all about to begin with.

@hellie jo.  Exactly. All that's needed is a Nativity Set. That's what it is about.

I think QVC only has about 12 days in July for Christmas programming.

Retailers always take advantage of Christmas because they make up to 30% of their yearly sales on it.  Obviously, many shoppers are interested or QVC wouldn't do it.

Personally, I love it.

@catnappurr   Sorry folks, but I'm with @Foxxee, and many others, since I look forward to the Christmas in July events.    You will see the holiday forum start to rev up once CIJ gets closer and it will build as we get closer to Labor Day and beyond because of fall items as well as Christmas themes.

Now retired, but when I was working I always tried to get the kickoff day off if it was on a weekday.

I like to shop early so that I am all set when the holiday season begins for most others.  I can relax because I have things covered and don't have to shop frantically at the last minute.    And I love to see the new items for decorating--have gotten some lovely things.

It was actually a dear friend from work and her mom and dad who introduced me to QVC--they often had the shows on when I would visit and my girlfriend loved Nolan Miller and collected all his pins, especially the flower pins.  They had a QVC kitchen, including the Nesco roasters, one of which they gave to me.

I didn't have extra cash in those days so I was "late to the party" so to speak when I started having discretionary money to spend here.

And overall I have been very satisfied.  I now have a QVC kitchen and many QVC Christmas items, including my trees.

If things are presented or themes like "New Year New You" are on I just don't watch very much at all.

@catnappurr: I agree it's too early to start talking about Christmas In July. But...you started a thread about it that's probably going to be front and center for the next couple of months!!! Smiley Tongue
