Christmas week and it looks like Q has taken most of the decor down. It goes up early and now that Christmas week is here, they start putting it away. Makes me sad, Im not watching anymore this week.

Christmas isn't really Christmas for them, it's just a grand marketing event... Too bad they fill it with such unappealing merchandise. The trees and decorations have to come down so they can move on to the next seasonal array of boring, repetitive merchandise.

On another thread on this topic, it was said that a new set was being used last night on pm style. Not sure if that's the case with other shows. Makes sense that a new set wouldn't be decorated for Christmas for a couple days.

Merry Christmas all.

I love to decorate for the holidays, but over time my taste has changed and also I wanted to be able to "easily" repack. So; I have been buying decorations after the holidays as well as easy to store containers. I decorate every room (including bahtrooms - don't laugh). :-) I am throwing out the old (unless there is a memory attached to it) and next year will be all new look. My children are grown and live far away so I can now have what "Grandmom" likes. I don't want one big tree so I am collecting smaller trees to put around the house. The tallest tree is 4 ft. I have friends in and out a lot during the holidays so I also wanted a quick set up (mostly).

Have any of you ever gone through a complete make over of your holiday decor? If so, how did it work out for you?

I hate that they take it down. It makes me feel like they rushed it to get her, and now they are done with it since sales are over for gifting. It presents a COLD feeling. Gosh, at least leave it up until tomorrow night.

Yes, it will be 6 months of Phillip from Cottage Farms. Ugh.
