@snowflurry  NOPE. I'm not looking for something for nothing . . . ever.
Can't you find something else to write about? It's Christmas!!

"Slighted"?

     No.

Key word here is new customer.

Many businesses have 'special offers' to entice new customers, which are vital for continued growth.

Its funny to me that you view this as a "reward" .

They're not just handing out money.

You have to buy something, and you get a credit toward some other future purchase you'll have to buy before that "reward" is any good.

Or did I misunderstand them?

Well said, @x Hedge.

They prefer to have new money as new customers are more likely to get sucked in more easily and spend more money. It's a trap

Doesn't bother me in the least!  We all can choose to shop elsewhere if we feel slighted by a business practice that works to bring in more money but offends you.  I don't buy based on getting something back.  I buy because I like the products sold by a company.  If there is an incentive involved then that's just a plus but not necessary for me to shop there.

It would be great as a business policy to have some sort of reward system for those loyal long time customers but so far all we get is a free shipping day once in awhile or six easy pays.  Those are also available for a new customer.  I think I will start paying with my cash back credit card as opposed to the nothing back q card.

I agree with having some sort of reward for being a loyal customer.  I understand that businesses don't have an obligation to do so but it would be good PR.  I have mentioned before on here that I have an LL Bean card and I earn bean bucks toward my next purchase, get free shipping and free returns and extra percentage off on sales.  I have to say this does make me stay on their website longer than the Q's!!   I also forgot to mention free monogramming!!   In 20 something years I have never received anything special from QVC, coupons etc......What did they do just randomly give special offers out?

not going to use the word slighted, but will say that Q is one of the companies I do business with that doesn't offer some kind of rewards for long term or CC customers

Well, I guess I am in the minority here.  I've been a QVC customer for over 25 years, and they should offer us long-time customers something.  Sheesh, throw as a darn bone every once in a while......
