WHY can you cancel something on HSN  ( and ShopHQ)

hours later but you cannot on QVC? You need to be able to cancel when you change your mind.

When I order something -it's not impulse buying so no desire to cancel ever!  It seems to me that both HSN and Shop HQ don't process their orders as quickly so cancelling is easy.  QVC seems to have more products being shipped from vendors' warehouses and sends the orders to them right away so it is out of their hands at that point and they process packages for pick up by UPS pickup faster so not possible to pull it back at that point.  I have had orders not processed from Shop HQ for up to 3 weeks and then the shipping issues happen so they usually come in a longer amount of time than QVC's have.  HSN has had slow shipping also but like I stated I don't impulse buy and know I want something before I order.  HSN has been sending emails to review products weeks before package received.

I would suggest to  those that want to cancel orders because in this pandemic shipping is slow everywhere to  stop impulse ordering!

I think it's called a money grab. They figure once you receive the item the chances of u returning it are nil

Sometimes if I dont read the reviews and order, then go read them, and many are bad ones I will try and cancel. I dont cancel very often but when I have, Im so glad at the time that I did.

Because either their software is not set up to do it or they don't want to.  Whoever is in charge of IT can do it.

Locking a sale in the moment the order is placed sure doesn’t make the order process or ship any faster.

I think it's terribly unfair that we cant can't cancel a few hours after placing an order, but they can keep an order In Process for weeks at which time no changes can be made.
