Their service has gotten terrible in my area.  Pharmacy takes forever to help you or to answer the phone.  One cashier, or do it yourself.  Auto refills always messed up, phone and text messaging says prescriptions are ready when they're not, etc. Store prices are crazy high.

I would consider changing pharmacies if it weren't such a chore to transfer everything over.

Same here...and that's why I left them a few years ago. You can rest assured they will never answer the phone, period.  And the drive thru was often backed up and took forever to get your meds. I will also add that in general the pharmacists there were never very friendly or helpful. I moved my business to a small grocery store chain local to my state and they could not be more helpful and always answer the phone when I can't get what I need through their automated system.

Same with the one near me. First they bought out Rite Aid, no one at the register. You ring a bell for service. High prices unless on sale. Even then they may only have one or two on the shelf. The pharmacy closes for lunch. They get pizza delivery while I wait. I avoid it. I can get some things faster by Amazon.

Yesssss!!!  And I always seem to arrive when the pharmacy is closed!!

Forget calling them, they never answer and when in the store you can hear the One Pharmacy Call thing repeatedly and they just ignore it.  So crazy. always some "Surprise!"  we dont have your Rx sorry the robot lied.

I have given up getting decent generics at CVS.  The one nice Pharmacist used to order some better quality ones for customers.  He left for a 9-to 5 job.

Now they are forcing us to accept the rock bottom cheapest generics.   One snarky tech ran out into the store area yelling loudly at me about my Rx, yah just announce to the whole store the prescription name. i did not want a certain generic that requires the correct molecules made in India.  She basically screeched at me - Too Bad. isnt that a violation of HIPAA?

switching very soon but we have few choices due to insurance and no independent choices and i refuse to use WM.

@Mindy D  @we rescue cats

I was married to a pharmacist almost 50 yrs before he died of a heart attack. I believe the profession was responsible for a lot of his stress.

Things had changed so much since he graduated college. Lot more they were required to do. Give shots,

Gov. red tape, druggies , afraid for your life, techs that are sampling the stock, etc.

It's changed a lot and not for the better.  Some places are union now, we were never in a Union state.

People steal so much goods why they are higher prices in some pharmacies. Women taking pregnancy tests into the bathroom and pitching the results, etc.

That thing about closing for lunch: if there were enuff people then it would be possible to stagger the people, but everyone is so short handed that is not possible.

Pharmacy schools have now gone to a 6 year program and that may be why there is the shortage.

If stores like Walmart didn't close for one hr just to give folks a break they would never get the chance to eat or go to the bathroom.

Drive thru's, phones ringing off the hook, Dr.'s calling and you best answer those calls ! Insurance billing problems, techs smart mouthing the pharmacists, irate customers screaming they have been cheated out of one pill, argumentative customers griping about prices, pharmacists have nothing to do with pricing, on and on

Like other professions the workers are just that --workers. Most jobs are more then meets the eye.

@Jaspertimes   AND they send out these 30% off coupons but they put virtually the entire store on sale so the coupons can't be used.  I NEVER shop there if I can help it and I can help it

They are contracted with Medicare so I doubt they are going under. They have too many stores, many get their prescriptions via mail & the need for COVID testing has gone down. It’s business sense to cut staff & close some stores.

I like the CVS stat clinics & test/treat COVID centers.
