I was shocked to hear Dan & Carolyn were gone.  If it was their own choosing there would have been a nice send-off.   A shame not to celebrate two of the best hosts after working for the company so many years.  I hope some of it was of their own desire to retire.  It won't be the same without their great personalities and thorough descriptions of the products. Is David V. next?  I am a long time customer and have seen a decline in the company as it has grown.

Trust me, there is no sendoff when you are laid off. No warning, just you're 

 gone, so bye. HR will call and discuss your severance package. I also had a company car and they sent someone to drive it away. This is how layoffs go in any company. Upper management doesn't care how you feel, your co workers or your customers. Just a nasty part of the business culture

I am so done with QVC!!! I have been a member for 30yrs and I am horrified at what they do to 2 of the best hosts they ever had. That half wit Kirsten, is always on vacation , now on a 3mos church thing. Seems she can do whatever she wants. Why didnt they throw her out. She is obnoxious and I can't watch Gary without Carolyn nor Pat without Dan. Adios QVC

The reactions indicate just how remarkably successful Qurate has been at creating this atmosphere. 

"The hosts are your friends....shopping buddies....pals...neighbors."

When in fact they are employees of a large corporation performing the assigned roles.

@NicksmomESQ did you ever stop and think,maybe both of them took a early retirement?everyone assumes they were either fired or layed off.
