Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

to the op: no, it's not you. What QVC is selling these days is so boring I hardly ever watch any more.

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

@RJGeorgia I have to disagree. I really enjoy the food shows and do not find them boring or considered "one group" since there are so many varieties of food offered. From desserts and sweets, to savory, to snacks, main course meals, gift ideas, etc.

Also, I too am a long time customer, in fact, since 1986. I don't see any big change in TSV presentations. They spent an entire hour on TSV's such as mattresses, vacuums, computers and many others many years ago.

However, with this said, yes, sometimes it could bore me but I never leave QVC on long enough to get bored if it has no interest for me. I am not a buyer of Denim & Co but I occasionally can sit through an enjoyable hour presentation with great hosts like Pat or Jayne with Gary.

I know that many are not fans of CIJ but this is my favorite month of programming. I just love it. If it bothers you, please allow the customers that do enjoy these programs do so without the continual complaints. There are just so many options out there these days, Q2, both HSN and QVC streaming, HSN2, ShopHQ, etc.

I do agree, sometimes the heat can make us grumpy. For us here we haven't reached any temps higher than the 80's so maybe I am just a little more agreeable with the programming these days. Woman Very Happy

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

This is my first ever "complaint" - and it was, in fact, a question. Lucky you to have such low temperatures. It's been 97 to 99 degrees here for weeks, with a heat index of 104 to 107 degrees. 🄵 I am very grateful for air conditioning but sad about most of my flowers which haven't grown...

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

It has been a yawn for me too lately...

Even the D&Co day, and that is not usual for me. However, I am looking forward to Friday with Barefoot Dreams.

It will be interesting what the TSV will be ahead of the Fall Fashion kickoff...guessing it will be joggers or a ultra lite cardi. I'm crossing my fingers for price drops on BD items. I have one in my wishlist. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

I have to say this...sorry...

But, even though I agree that the shows that are several hours of the same basic products get old, we get so MANY complaints when they try something different.  Such as the Vegas show etc....

I think many of us "old timers" miss the way they used to mix things up such as:  Irish pub for St. Patricks, the various real designers, the famous people like Kenneth J Lane, or Noel Miller, Kirks Folly (prime time) the Jackie Kennedy line ( I know they had to stop that but that's indicative of what I mean).

Yes, QVC, we know how soap works.
Instead of "let's play with bubbles," it might be more useful to go into more depth about what each fragrance smells like. Josie does a good job explaining with individual fruits and flowers to illustrate.

[ Edited ]

i do not feel the programs are boring to me

what i do know is that i do not need 99% of what is being sold anywhere

i am old

i have stuff

i have no desire to accumulate more

i am selling alot of what i accumulated

the offerings seemed more exciting when i was accumulating

my purchasing as of current day is mostly consumables.

occasionally something breaks and i shop to replace

occasionally i treat myself to some lovely gold ...feeds my addiction

in summary...

boring might equal ya don't need stuff

~~today may be my last.....i choose JOY!~~

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

I think we all have different likes and dislikes. I also have been a customer long before the initials were QVC. In those days the pace was so fast that the item I was calling in to buy was two items behind! I don’t like it that fast paced, but I think they spend much too long on all the items. Some shows have only one item in the hour which is not my idea of shopping.

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

It's the middle of July....just what is the holiday that "gourmet holiday " is supposed to be referring to?

I'm also not a fan of long endless food shows. I consider myself lucky that there are several supermarkets near me that sell high end frozen goods.
