Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

I know I can "change the channel" - and, I do. As a long time QVC shopper, I have watched the channel morph and change, and change is often good. I must say, though, the hours-long shows on one group of items does indeed drive me away. The 4, 5, and even 6 hours spent on food is one example (gourmet holiday, anyone?). An hour spent on the TSV is another. Is it just me? Do other shoppers enjoy these extended presentations? Maybe it's the heat that's making me annoyed and bored! 🥵🤣 Your thoughts?

Same. . .many boring and repetitious shows during any one day.  So we need another hobby. Cat LOL

Re: Boring Programming - Or, Maybe It's Just Me

July is the worst month, in so many respects.  I like watching the fashion shows and in July we've got the same spring/summer sale items they are trying to get rid of, over and over again, plus a few fall items which I cannot contemplate when it is so hot out and autumn is still so far away.  Not to mention CIJ, which I don't watch at all.

Yes, way too many food hours, and the endlessly long TSV presentations are a bore.

I actually don't watch much anymore, just check "items on air" throughout the day.

You are not alone.  I used to watch a lot but these days I do a quick scan of the 4 on line channels and move on.

I am already so tired of Christmas in July and the usual hosts I could scream.

Before they decided to have brand ambassadors in every show it was much more interesting to watch.  In those days the host knew their product and presented it well.

Sadly some of the best hosts have moved on.

If you are a long-time QVC shopper then you must know how the programming works.  So you know the options.  You do sound bored.

I use to watch everyday but now only watch some the Holiday decor shows, CIJ is my favorite...I made several gift purchases & my Christmas shopping is done. I enjoy shopping Q online, that's what works best for me.

I suspect unfortunately for QVC the concept of changing the channel does little for increased sales. That doesn't bode well for a retailer hoping to stay afloat.

Seems gone are the days for hearing one voice that knows the product. Now we are met the belief that we want a little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants. You want details...go look online.

I don't mind the days of one category like all fashion, all food, all jewelry. Makes it easy for me to know which days to totally avoid.

There are too many food shows.  Weekends are just awful.  CIJ is a big NO, just too much of it.  I scan the program guide and if there's something on I'm interested in, I'll watch, otherwise no.  I've been around since the 90's, so I've seen alot.  Add in the pricing games, everything is on clearance so you can't get a price adjustment any longer,  and the certain hosts who are unwatcheable or think they are doctors or something, it just turns one off.

I wish that they did more "events". Like, don't show food all day unless it is a food event. Or at least split hours onto QVC2 or something.

A big yawn each time I see the suds and hand washing with the TSV...philosophy.
