The original concept of QVC, Quality, Value, and Convenience, in no way resembles the dog and pony show we, as customers, are subjected to.

This is a "shopping" channel, an endless commercial, with two hosts and a brand "ambassador" giving us the hard sell.  I believe the two-host idea is the conversation between the two with glowing comments about the product or involving the models in the conversation with very little information about the product itself.

Wake up QVC and give your customers credit for intelligence.

@Daffney    And some of the "off topic" conversations between hosts on the Over Fifty and Fabulous shows are just too much....

Re: Blast From The Past

I started shopping with QVC back in the early 90's and let's just say I have been one of their absolute best customers over that time span. I agree with your post, @Daffney. It's sad to say but if I were currently a new potential customer and tuned into this QVC on air mess that we now see on a daily basis, I would likely laugh at the absurdity of it all and pass right on by! I would never even give them a chance to sell me anything.

@Daffney   I agree and stopped my "habit" even having it on in the background. Many will say for you to change the channel, read a book and the usual negative comments. You're certainly always free to express your opinions.

QVC has certainly gone downhill from when I started watching 20+ years ago.  No longer do so.  I check "recently on" and that's it.

I watch HSN now far more than I ever did and enjoy many of the programs, hosts, vendors.

Quality -- doubtful

Value -- rarely

Convenience -- iffy

I began watching in 1999 when things were much different.  I realize change is needed as the years go by; however, I still don't understand the need for 2 hosts.

I also recall some of the brands (which I think were  QVC brands) such as Jessica Holbrook, the older version (now now) of Sport Savvy among a few.  As for Denim & Co., at that time, there was only the host and the models and no Gary/brand ambassador.  Diamonique shows were done with one host, and a model.  The host would describe it, including carat weight and do measurements with a ruler.  That's now a rarity these days.

For the most part, I enjoyed watching but of course, as I said, times have changed.  Now days, I might watch at midnight to see what the TSV is.  It's just  not the same for me.  I don't watch it for entertainment but rather for the product they are selling.

Now I find myself tuning in more to HSN which I find more professional most of the time.

@Group 5 minus 1  there is no Spoiler. Usually you click on the arrow on the right hand side and if there is one, then you can see it. Most of the time, it's just a mistake.
