Black Friday Preview Spectacular

Been watching all night. A TV tray, leaf blower, flashlight, stamp to black out account information. Yawn. QVC couldn't think of anything more exciting to compete with Amazon ?

Re: Black Friday Preview Spectacular

I really enjoy watching QVC and I have been a customer since the very first day they came on the air. However I feel like the stuff they are showing is first of all very boring and secondly just seems like things they are trying to get cleared out. I would love to see some really good buys on some of the fun things like clothing, jewelry, and accessories. I also wish they would step up their game and bring in some new vendors with really up to date things.

I have never been impressed with their Black Friday offerings. Other retailers  have entire sections of goods at 25-50% off. Q just picks one or two items from several categories. It’s very limited, and the items they choose never seem to match anything on my gift list. I believe it’s Old Navy that advertised 50% off your entire purchase today. QVC is never going to do anything like that.

I can't remember the last time I tuned into Q for black friday.  It's really nothing more than the same old, same old.

Re: Black Friday Preview Spectacular

QVC plays is safe.  They do with every category they have, from fashion, to kitchen, to beauty item, and electronics.  If it sold once, they sell it a thousand times to bleed it dry.  Yes, they sell, but the market doesn't stand still (like QVC tends to do); they seem so afraid to shake it up a bit.

I never give gifts that simply fall within a certain price point.  I give a gift that's something I would want for myself, and falls within a price point.  A gift is a reflection of my taste.

QVC buyers must think all that's required is to stand at the end of a big box store and whatever they unload there is what they continue to call "gifts."  Scrub Daddy -- really???   Yes, they can sell 5,000 of those and call it a good day.  But they could have sold 20,000 of a truly good gift it they really tried to step out of the mundane.

Re: Black Friday Preview Spectacular

Read a ton of emails in my mailbox this morning.  There are some very nice buys at various stores, all with free shipping.  They make QVC's offerings look pathetic.  I think the buyers really missed the mark this year, even more so than usual.  Their choices are totally uninspired.

Agree with many of the comments posted here, a lot of same stuff we have been seeing for months. Clearing the warehouse for January garden stuff I guess. Have not been able to get into Order Status since early this morning, what is up with that! All I get is a blank screen.

@Reever

Seriously??? You had lots of time to waste??? Why do people do this? There are so many better ways to waste time! lol

Look online, see items, decide if you are interested, watch video, buy or not. Easy, fast and saves lots of time and money.
