Hi Everyone.
I don't post here very often but I thought it was important to let QVC shoppers know what I am experiencing lately here on the Q so that you can be aware and hopefully not have to go through the same thing.
I have been a long time shopper of QVC of more than 15 years and never really had any major problems. Recently though that all changed when I found myself having to check my credit card statements very, very carefully!
So I placed recently an order for a set of Periea Storage Boxes and returned them because the zippers were not working. A charge for this order was posted on my cc on Sept. 08th and a refund was posted on Sept 17th.
So color me surprised when on October 15th, I see a charge back on my credit card for this same order! Typically merchants may re-charge customers after a refund if they don't recieve the item back or some other reason, but that didn't happen here as I have confirmation they recieved it and they issued the refund shortly thereafter.
Additionally, when chekcign my account, the order does not reflect that they re-charged me! It only shows the original charge and "refund issued" and easy pays stopped. So when I got my CC statement today and saw a charge on Oct 15th for this same order, I was surprised to find that not only did they re-charge me for this returned item, but they also charged me a couple of dollars higher than what I origally paid for! $ 10 more to be infact!
This was not the first time this has happened to me. In the past 6-8 months, the same thing has occured over 5 times! On my CC statements, all QVC charges have the order # next to it which is how I am always able to check & verify the amount. Many times, I am billed a few cents higher than what I was originally quoted after submitting order which is fine, but other times they go beyond a few pennies to $1-$2 dollars higher. Meaning that if something has a total cost of $34.89, I will typically see a charge on my cc for $35.89 or $36.99, etc. These additional charges are not Bank charges or anything. It is just QVC adding to the cost without notifying customer and that is just wrong. Just as it was wrong to get re-charged and not be notified and/or to add additional easy pay fees that you already paid for! Yep, that too has happened! If an order had 3 easy pays for example and I was already charged for all 3, I often will see an additional one posted the next month which I constantly have to argue about and prove that I paid them!
Now many of you may not have experienced this problem and I hope I'm a one-off. But with a busy family & job, I never paid much attention to my credit card charges other than to look for any that shouldn't be there. I had high trust in QVC that they bill what they quote after checking out, but that trust has been broken now. When it happens to you once you can call it a mistake, but when it happens over & over again, that no longer becomes a mistake. But that's on me and lesson learned to not be so trusting and naive, so please make sure the same thing doesn't happen to you all. Keep a record of what you are charged during checkout and your email confirmations and make sure to check your statements very carefully against what they charged and what they posted.

Sorry you are having issues.
I have been here since CVN and have never been overcharged for anything.
I always scour my Large bill and yes, things happen.
For example, I pay for return shipping and they charge me the label fee.
I return something defective....they charge me the label fee.
However, All problems are with the returns department only.
QVC can't charge you more than your order confirmation shows. I always use EZ pay, and sometimes each payment is pennies different, but it always Only adds up to my expected full charge.

It's important to check credit card charges frequently. As always, Buyer Beware.

I think that can happen just about anywhere these days. Necessary to watch our statements like a hawk!

@Kaiti126. Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention
I know I take for granted that everything will be done correctly and that's obviously not always the case. Mistakes will be made occasionally.

I can say I've never had a problem with QVC's billing.
It does seem that often when posters write of problems and refunds it involves the use of Easy Pay. That just seems for some it adds an additional layer of messiness when it comes to returning items.
I also think that at times there is confusion when QVC, like almost all retailers, put through a pre-activation charge and it's confused with actually being charged for the item. Not saying that's the case with the OP. I agree it's always good to keep an eye on credit card charges.

I've never seen or experienced anything like this at all. But to have this happen 6 times to one person? I agree there's probably an Easy Pay, return issue.

I check my credit card statement very carefully. I have found discrpancies, but for small amounts, one way or the other. You would THINK this would all be programmed in so that the numbers charged and credited would be correct.

I hate dealing with those type of issues. Hope you get it all straightened out.
I've had to call to ask for credit for an item I returned.
I used to have several credit cards through Synchrony Bank. I have never had an issue with any of them. My cards were closed due to non-use. Sounds like your issues are on the QVC side of it.
When your credit score is figured they now use purchases made using easy pay option. Something new I read about a few months ago.

I've actually got to contact CS today for a return I made. It was for an exchange (kitchen item; different color requested). I got the exchanged item and it was defective. (Arrived in two pieces, with chips in the ceramic part.)
I returned that and just noticed today they have refunded the purchase price minus the return shipping. It makes me wonder, if the people in the returns warehouse ever even read the return slips. I made a point of writing in capitals, red ink, that the exchanged item was being returned because it was DEFECTIVE, in addition to ticking the "Defective" box. (And the color was now out of stock.)
Just another thing to chase up. As others have said - pay attention to what you're being charged. ![]()
ETA: Just tried to use "Chat Live" and, as usual, it's useless. I reported this once before and was told suggestions of why it might not be working. However, it works with every other website I use, just not QVC, so I'm inclined to think it's their system!
