I would like to watch David's anniversary show, but considering his costar, co-host, I probably won't be able to do more than 5 minutes.

Agree 100%! He's now just a repetition of non-funny phrases and dances, the constant "And this is...", statements, followed by him standing to the side and frowning like he wants to be anywhere else but in that studio.
I think its getting close for him to hang up his apron. Its been a good run for the guy.

Huh? I've watched many of David's shows and have never seen him standing to the side "frowning". He's always professional and does a good job IMO.

LOL @ellaphant yep I'm with you on that. I don't plan to watch. I like him well enough & am happy for him to have his celebration but not interested enough to tune in.

To me, this appears to be a frown, or perhaps a pout:

I don't watch ITKWD very often but one night there was NOTHING on TV and my brother wanted to watch. Fortunately I had a book to read as I tried to block out his constant interruptions and all of that nonsense he does with Steve on marking on the whiteboard how many times he says something and then Steve has to eat it because David now has dietary restrictions. We hear about those almost as often as Jane T talks about her daughters.
it's a happy thing that he has reached this milestone with QVC and I guess after that amount of time there is a certain amount of repetition to be expected. However I often take the advice of many posters -- change the channel! yep,

@They Call Me MR Wilkes : I don't think it is a frown, just trying to read the q.cards. He does look tired in that pic. I don't think David would pout on TV.

Looks like a frowny pout to me.
Or perhaps a pouty frown.

You've captured perfectly the whole reason I watch ITKWD comedy show.....just to see that happy, engaged face, expressing such interest in the product the vendor is working so hard to promote....while waiting his turn to do a Happy Dance!!!!
The sullen, petulant, bored to death expression that so defines his crushing ennui in the latest offering that's he's seen 15,000 iterations of in 30 years.....
I plan to watch his special tonight, between watching "Network" on TCM and the two specials on Q tonight, maybe I can see a live repeat of this pose!!
It's the best comedy on TeeVee, and fun to watch for on his shows!!!!( when he evidently doesn't realize the camera is on him...)
And don't forget.... we gotta count the number of times JT calls him "Mah Honey" later on tonight...if you can!!!
For more fun, take a shot of whiskey every time she says it....you'll be plastered in fifteen minutes!!!
