@Suneshine  I always got a Keratin treatment in the beginning of June - lasted several months.

My hair is wavy and frizzy - Also, instead of drying your hair with a towel, use an old cotton t-shirt - it helps a little.

Just go with it? LOL.  I know that's not what you want to hear.  I have neither straight nor curly hair,  It's just slightly wavy which requires styling every day in that state.  I'm getting a perm next week.  My hair has been behaving rather nicely since I scheduled it trying to talk me out of it, but that won't happen.  I've actually made 10 months between perms this time.

The keratin treatment that others mention works for me.  My hair is very dry and I don't shampoo as often, and my hair was perfectly straight for weeks.  It was amazing.

And I didn't sleep with my face up!

Not the same everytime.  I think hair stylist use different formulations.  So make sure to convey expectations to stylist.

@Suneshine  Oh, what i would give for curly hair! count your blessings! I had a brief period after chemotherapy when my hair came in grey and curly. i was ecstatic because all my life i wanted my father's and brother's curly hair. Alas, I got my mother's straight as the proverbial stick, which continues now.

@zitawins

That was my luck, too.  Dad's hair was curly and black.  Mom's light hair was fine, thin, and straight as a stick.  Yeah, I got Mom's hair. On the plus side, she didn't gray and I seem to be the same.

Before menopause = flat as a pancake

After menopause = curly (frizzy top)

I get a blow out at my nearby Ulta every week.

That's so interesting @LTT1 ! Age hasn't done anything except make my hair finer, thinner and straighter.  Ugh.

UGH! Is right!

For those who don't mind the curling aspect of summertime hair, but have issues with frizz I can relate.  My miracle treatment is extra virgin olive oil.  I ingest a couple of teaspoons of EVOO every day -- I just add a teaspoon of EVOO to my morning coffee which helps condition my hair and keeps the frizz at bay.   I only wish the EVOO would make my hair thicker too, LOL.
