My hair was straight as a ruler until after menopause. Now  fine but I have some waves and my gray hair gets curly and frizzy.

I've tried so many products. Most don't do anything to help. Products that say they'll help reduce frizz or curl also remove all style/body and leave my hair stringy within an hour or two (even when I use very little).

The best thing I've found is to let my hair air dry. I use gel in the bang area and Biolage Gray/Purple leave-in and comb it into style. I let it dry for an hour or two and brush with a strong carbon brush. (I didn't have time to let it air dry before I retired.)

Wish I could find something that would make my hair curly!  I have stick straight hair that doesn't hold a curl for long.  Guess we always want what we can't have.

@Suneshine   Curly hair here. Frizz usually happens because hair needs moisture (deep conditioning) so gets it from humidity in the air resulting in frizz.

I've found that deep conditioning treatments, I use Shea Moisture from drugstore, once a week keeps the frizzies away.

I willl add that I wear my straight using a large blow dry brush that smoothes it and gives my grey bob shine, too.

I use a leave in conditioner and styling gel to calm the curls down.

Coarse & wavy:     I leave it alone...looks like it has "more body" that way.

Funny you should ask. I just got a Keratin treatment yesterday. Right now it's stick straight and I'm not used to seeing myself like that but there's nothing I can do for 48 hours until I can wash it.

@Suneshine  Oh, what i would give for curly hair! count your blessings! I had a brief period after chemotherapy when my hair came in grey and curly. i was ecstatic because all my life i wanted my father's and brother's curly hair. Alas, I got my mother's straight as the proverbial stick, which continues now.
