Re: Automatic Mattress removal fees

@pieman12

I ordered a TSV mattress a couple of years ago and judging from your description of "hotel" quality, it might be the same one you bought, which was a Serta Hospitality Mattress.  I will never buy another Serta again.  I bought yesterday's TSV from Northern Lights because I am desperate.  I have the same issues that you have:  I can barely sleep on it, I can feel the springs poking me everywhere and am not getting a good night's sleep.

I called QVC about the warranty as you did and they told me I had to contact Serta.  Serta closed the distribution center here in CT and they were of no help.

I'm hoping this one was a better choice.

Re: Automatic Mattress removal fees

I am not judging anyone here but I am wondering why someone would purchase a mattress or a recliner from a TV shopping channel or online from a website as opposed to going to a store and trying one out? Unless one lives miles and miles from a brick and mortar store what is the reason to gamble on an expensive purchase like a mattress especially since we spend a good portion of our lives sleeping.

Spot On, Whitney!

I'm thinking of telling them not to bother with yet another.

Good luck with your new one, hope it works out for you...

Have a Happy New Year, and a Restful one....

@50Mickey @Even when you go to a store to try your mattress out you really can't tell how it will feel to sleep on. I've hated mattresses I've picked this way too. I hate shopping for mattresses.

Re: Automatic Mattress removal fees

it's very difficult to find non-toxic, green mattresses without just buying those online as an FYI. Not that the ones on QVC are green non-toxic but I wanted to explain why some of us buy a mattress online. I have bought two Saatvas that way!

Re: Automatic Mattress removal fees

I misplaced my notes re: which mattresses are non-odor, minimum (if any at all) chemicals, etc.

Someone here gave me a few suggestions a couple or more years ago.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Automatic Mattress removal fees

During covid I took a chance and bought a Serta mattress from. QVC as I did not want to go into a store.  I've had it for 2 years without a problem.  I'm the only one sleeping on it.  Since I am in  MD there were no extra fees.

Re: Automatic Mattress removal fees

I purchased a Serta Mattress from QVC about 11 years ago and I have not had one problem with it.

I just recently purchased the Lazy Boy TSV, and although it has not been delivered yet, the only problem that I am having is that my card has been charged twice for one chair. I am giving them till the end of the week to fix that snafu.
