I know QVC has handled things differently in the past, but any time I have purchased something as is, I take that literally.  As in, I'm buying it the way it is.

@Tori3569

we all understand that.  the issue is the 'as is' policy states that it can be returned.

then when u go to check out, it says " not eligible for return or exchange"

Q is saying 2 different things in the same purchase.

this needs to be cleared up!!!

thanks for the heads up OP!!!

Plus, it's one thing to buy something "As Is" where you can see it in RL. In a store you see the flaws/imperfections etc. if any.

And you can try it on for fit if it's clothing.

How can you buy clothing 100% "As Is" from a shopping channel where you can't see it or try it on???

Too many inconsistancies in sizing from what I've seen.

@hkrgrl exactly what you said. This isn't about the condition of the as-is products you buy. It is a POLICY issue. QVC is saying 2 competely different things on the website and it needs clarity.

Well here's my experience....

I've purchased 4 or 5 things "As Is" and they have all been great, no issues at all.

I've purchased 2 items, at separate times, "Final Sale/No Return," and both were awful but I was stuck with them.

Even though that was probably just chance, I'm much more hesitant to buy anything from anywhere online that's Final Sale/No Return.  That's just how I shop.  If QVC wants them all to be No Returns, I'll know not to ever buy As Is items again.  My shopping choice.

All they need to do is fix the double talk and inconsistency and get the system right.

I've had pretty good luck with As Is items.  I haven't bought many but the ones I have bought have been in perfect condtion with the exception of a couple of tops.  One had a run in the material right in the front and the other was covered in pills and smelled awful.  I was able to return them without being charged for shipping return.  I will not buy any As Is items if they cannot be returned, and I doubt many other people will.

QVC has made the poor choice to apply its No returns or Exchanges Policy to As-Is items. I would be willing to accept this if QVC would inspect each as-is item to be sure it is not damaged, worn, laundered, altered in any way. But they do not. I have received many as-is items that belonged in a dumpster. I personally will not purchase another As-Is item if this is the way they want to conduct business. There is no value in QVC if you are stuck with an item that was unfit for resale in the first place.

It doesn't appear that the MODS are actively looking at this, maybe it's time to email QVCsocialteam@qvc.com and ask if they can clarify the return policy on as-is items.

I'll never buy an "as is" item again.  I bought a jacket "as is" and it was obviously very well used and not only that the buttons where ripped off of it.

I just tried this with a blouse I have in my wish list and sure enough - that message pops up at checkout!

Well, I can see myself buying less and less from QVC.  If this isn't a glitch, I think they've lost the plot.

That explains why I thought I saw that message against something I bought on free shipping day.  It's not there now against my order, and it's something I plan to keep, but this is getting crazy.

Sooner or later someone is going to mount a legal challenge to some of these practices.

I've ordered lots of AS IS items over the years and most of them were fine! I have returned a few as is items with no problems. So if it's true they are final sales, this is a new policy.
