I've noticed on reviews, some of them now have "Verified Purchase" under the name (see below) of the reviewer. I've never noticed this before. Does this mean reviews will be more controlled instead of letting anyone write a review whether they've received the product or not? If so, I think it's a good move.

I just read a review the other day where a poster had read the other reviews and decided not to buy. She left one star. What the? Is anyone reading these things before they are put up?

@depglass is there any review site where every review is read carefully before it’s posted (or not posted)?
unless someone can explain how companies can program their computers to do that, I can’t imagine it happening. I know that they can verify purchase by programming, so from the example you gave, it doesn’t seem to me that QVC is doing that completely and that would be a good start.

I hate seeing 4 or 5 star reviews on a new item only to find that the majority of them have been imported from the vendors website.
I'm only interested in the opinions of QVC shoppers who have actually purchased the item. I have no interest in whiners who didn't purchase but use the review forum to complain about the size range, colors offered, shipping time and customer service.

@Jasmine19 Wow, I did not know they did that. That does not seem right. Not to mention, what QVC sells could be a slightly different version of what was sold previously, and at a different price point, which may affect someone's review.

@Jasmine19 I agree and would like to add that I'm also not interested in posters who complain about the cost of items they have no experience with.
