Re: Anyone have good luck with Air Innovations?

@Nataliesgramma

I have used a hand towel beneath the humidifier and it protects my nightstand perfectly.

Re: Anyone have good luck with Air Innovations?

After going through two AI humidifiers in two years, I gave up...for a while. This year I purchased a top fill AI humidifier " as is."  The price was great, so I will not feel so betrayed when this one bites the dust.  i do not think the brand holds up as well as it should overall.

Re: Anyone have good luck with Air Innovations?

For those AI units that quit working I would suggest calling/emailing Air Innovations, (not QVC).

We had a Honeywell humidifier that we somehow missplaced the washer for the reservoir. DH tried purchasing a replacement washer locally to no avail so he ended up contacting Honeywell. They asked him to cut the end of the power cord off, photograph it and also the end of the plug (there were numbers on it). He did, and in less than a week they had a brand new replacement shipped to us for free.

Mine worked fine....but it left a fine white dust over everything

I have had mine for four winters.  To avoid dust from any humidifier you need to use distilled water.  I use gallons every winter.  Also gunk will grow in the unit if you don't clean it.  Every week i use vinegar and clean the water tank, and the base where the nebulizer is.  It hums right along.  I think mine holds a gallon of water, i think.  When it dies i'll get another.

Re: Anyone have good luck with Air Innovations?

I bought two AI humidifiers 2 years ago, one quit after the first season, but they are only warranted for 1 year anyway. The second one I am using this season again and it seems to be running fine, I clean it every 7 days as directed and use filtered water in it.So far, it's running 24/7 since I turned the heat on. I hope it lasts, but I'm going to buy a warm mist humidifier from Amazon as back up. I doubt I will buy another AI anything.

Re: Anyone have good luck with Air Innovations?

I've had good luck with my top fill AI humidifier. I run it 24/7 during the heating season. Clean it once a month with vinegar. Fill it with water from the faucet. This is the fourth winter. No dust on furniture. Keep it in a disposable foil pan. No leaking. My daughter is on her third winter. My toddler grandson is on his second winter. I sure hope I haven't jinxed us!

Now that's what I call great customer service.  I don't have one, but that would be the brand I would buy.

Re: Anyone have good luck with Air Innovations?

I haven't had any trouble with mine since I started using distilled water in them.  Would rather lug home distilled water than to have to keep buying the filters for hard water.
