why not just let the grey come in naturally?
I was blonde for a lot of years for the same reason (and with my coloring, ghostly white and blue eyes): blonde looked good on me and it hid the grey. But it became too much of an expense and a chore to keep getting it colored so I said, OK, Mother Natrue, you win.
I think I did some dark under-stripes or something so it would be a gradual change and now my hair is (if I may say so because many other have) I have beautiful silver hair with some long, pure white streaks. Wish I'd done this years ago.
And yes, I started out brunette as a child and adult if that makes any difference.
