Nobody I know wears them.  Haven't since we were young.  For me it's jeans 24/7,

You must live where it's cool. Here in Arizona you would roast in jeans. It's going to be 111 today and 114 on Saturday. Not a time to be wearing jeans or long pants. Actually shorts are year round for the most part. Even the tourists (not so much the natives) wear shorts in January.

Likewise. They did look nice on the models, with their precision fitting. On me they'd be below the knee too.

I haven't worn shorts in probably 40 years, not even when I lived in California. I just don't care for them on adult women exvept for sports. I know I'm old fashioned.
