@Kachina624   I'm sorry that happened and you had a bad experience. Just last week, I saw a waterproof pr. of Clark's ankle boots for $134 on Q and only $58 from Amazon. Better yet, they arrived the next day w/o shipping, original box and brand new. I check Amazon before purchasing anything.

My Clark's arrived this AM. ( 2 day delivery ) in perfect shape and 10.00 cheaper than the Q.

Wonder if JB, the genius that conjured up Amazon, has made a run at the Q?

He owns Amazon Studios so maybe he will come after QVC. He could be watching and learning.

@Kachina624 - That's interesting; one of the main reasons (along with poor quality and shipping costs) I don't buy much clothing from QVC is because when I do, I often receive orders that smell so strongly of other buyers' perfume that I don't dare open the bag (and I never buy "as is" clothing, so that's very frustrating). I get most of my clothes from Amazon and even have a Prime Wardrobe order arriving today, which allows me to try things on at no charge—I only pay for what I want to keep and send everything else back, all on Amazon's dime. Love it!

@loriqvc.  I have to strongly disagree.  I find Q clothing to be of excellent quality.  I've literally placed hundreds of clothing orders over the past 30+ years, have often received returns but have never received a piece that wasn't in pristine condition.  Certainly never got anything that SMELLED of perfume.

I guess we all have our favorite places to shop.

Re: Amazon Prime

We have ordered a lot of shoes from Amazon - men's dress shoes, hiking shoes, boots, sneakers, even swim shoes. Never received anything used. That is odd.

You can probably find most everything Q sells or something similar for a far better price if you just search for it online.

Yes 99% of the time. Earlier this year the Q had a Dyson cordless TSV; I comparison shopped everywhere - shockingly, QVC had the best price, so I bought it here. But yes, it is rare.

Best to check around  for pricing.  Earlier this year I bought shoes that were  a Clark's TSV that day  at Macy's for $10.00 less and free shipping so I saved $15.00 plus the difference in tax.

Once you receive a 200.00 handbag, thrown in a brown box. No tags. Nothing. Smelling of smoke and obviously extremely used, at that point it's time to step back. That item should have never been resold.

@Sheila P-Burg  I agree with @Kachina624  I have seen others complain here about buying shoes/boots/clothes cheaper at Amazon, but they looked worn/used. Additionally, I remember that some of the individuals mentioned reading the reviews 1st and still they wound up with less than perfect items. Just be mindful of what you do get cheaper and where.

We are also Amazon Prime members and buy quite a bit, but careful of not getting some things there Smiley Happy

Damaged, or used items can happen with any online order.  It's becoming the luck of the draw.  What's important is how quickly CS responds.  I've only had one problem item and QVC was prompt and efficient.  Things happen.

That said, being retired now, I need to work within my budget.  I will still purchase from the Q, with some items, but I'll check with Amazon prior, since I have Prime.

I've purchased from just about every category they offer, finding great deals.  I do avoid much of the clothing (sizing is a headache), but have ordered shoes many times including Alegria and Earth brands, plus all my athletic shoes.  They've all arrived new,  as described, and in pristine condition.

I even ordered a 60" TV and the transaction was smooth as gravy.  Love that TV.

Just be a savvy review reader.  The site has been fraught with blown up reviews and manipulation.  You need to read between the lines.

You might also benefit from reviewing online complaints about the high number of members who have been hacked.  I was one of them.  I'm furious that with all the innovations they've made, in offering and moving merchandise, that they haven't done more with security.
