@DCAnnie2004, congrats on being a UT grad!! We are so proud to be part of the Tennessee family.. we are hugely involved with the Pride and have been football season ticket holders for many years. I say it's great to be a TENNESSEE VOL!! 🏈
You enjoy your jewelry from LR.. I'll admit she does have some nice things but her prices are pricey and well you enjoy what you have!!!

What an eye opener. The face, neck, arms all different looking without her smoothing the heck out of everything.
5000 miles from home, working all week, living out of a suitcase and shooting in a restaurant with no lighting at the end of a long work day and negotiations and the camera is right in your face across a small table.
Not to many people can look that good.
Try having a friend film you and take a look at it.

Have you purchased any of her jewelry? I have and they are very well made and beautiful. Much better quality than you find on the Q lately.

I also purchased the large cross and it is stunning.

@hopi, the point being that Lisa filters ALL her photos to the MAX! They border on her looking plastic like. Then the tribe will beg her to tell them her skin care regimen and Lisa will claim it's because of the products she uses when in all reality it's because of the apps she uses to smooth out every inch of her skin being shown. While products may help, her skin is certainly not like her photos portray.
MAJOR case in point... check out her video today of her selling those skull & cross stretch bracelets. That shows Lisa Robertson in the TRUE light of day! W O W WEE!! Her arms & hands definitely look her age as they should. Just keep it real across the board and stop trying to mask everything in pictures. It makes one wonder after awhile, what else is she trying to mask? Makes one question her business motives.

Yes, but most of us do not go to great effort to portray ourselves as perfect and flawless in every photo, clearly putting beauty and physical appearance at the top of our priority lists.
It's not about the way she looks after travel, long days, or any other time. It's about deception, and it's about smoke and mirrors. She admits to doctoring her photos, and from what I've seen, she's not particularly good at it. Clearly, she would rather appear fake than natural, all in the interest of vanity.
(I know and work with a lot of major celebrities, by the way, and I've never known anyone who was so focused on filters and photoshop and eliminating every tiny flaw.)

No kidding, @hopi, I agree. It also kinda blows right out of the water the theory that the only way Lisa allows herself to be seen is through a filter. She obviously films and photographs herself in many different environments. If she was trying to hide who she is at all costs there's no reason she has to film herself away from home where all those allegedly "magic" lights are, lol. Lots of people use filters on their selfies and they also use lights when making videos. Welcome to the 21st century!
eta - the statement "It's about deception, and it's about smoke and mirrors. She admits to doctoring her photos..." is an interesting dichotomy. How is someone being deceptive by using a filter when they "admit to doctoring...?"

@NYC Susan, I have the feeling it was probably Dr. Denese who got them started on the softening filters. Although, neither of them compare to Suzanne Somers, lol.
I also doubt Lisa herself is capable of the manipulation (check out the video chats for apparent complete lack of any sort of tech ability) required; I'm thinkin' that's one of Katie's jobs.

@Moonchilde, I totally agree about the overuse of filters and photoshop. It's out-of-control. The first time I saw a fan post a picture of her and Lisa using no filters, it was eye-opening. She looks exactly her age. It truly bothers me that she receives all these accolades for photos that are beyond fake. With all that tuning, most of those fans could look their most photoshopped, fake "best" selves. Why are they applauding and encouraging the phoniness?
Lisa would step up a rung on the ladder for me if she would post a REAL photo: sans hair, make-up and photoshop. To me, THAT is a sign of a secure, successful woman.

@Sheilaray, from the increasing # of selfies posted of fan-buyers wearing LR's jewelry, they (by photo) mostly fit a demographic of a woman 45-65 (or at least, they appear that age in their UNretouched photos) who are heavily into jewelry, period. If they own ten bracelets, they will wear all ten. If they own five crosses they'll find a way to wear three at a time. They "layer" jewelry so much they give the impression not so much of fashion and taste as of conspicuous consumption driven by...the belief and hope that in their selfies they look just like LR does in hers, and she "looks great for her age" so they do too - they tell each other that over and over with each selfie share. They all want to think they are "just like" LR. So they love those photoshopped pics.
