I have two daughters, my youngest is special needs and she may not outlive us. My oldest has always wanted to get tattoos, but hasn’t because of the cost. If she does get one, she wants to get one in honor of her little sister and I see no issue with that. I may not ever get a tattoo, but I feel that’s a nice way to remember her sister.

I agree! I’m very distracted by an overabundance of tattoos, esp on women, but men too! My adult children have chosen to tattoo their bodies, but thankfully they are not extreme!
