Re: Am I an old fuddy duddy?

I'm not distracted by tats, many are very pretty & there are touching stories behind them. I thought about getting a simple small cross on the inside of my wrist, maybe someday.

I hate tattoos. They are beauty killers. Age is not an issue. We all are allowed to have opinions and that is mine.

I don't mind seeing tattoos except for those from the neck up. I can't explain it, but I have an aversion for them.

In one of our local grocery stores there was a clerk that had neck and face tattoos and I couldn't look at the individual.

I have one and am currently trying to design another and find an artist to do it.  Our DD and DSIL have A LOT.  I'm not a fan of some of them but some are really nice.  Either way, it's their business, not mine.

I located the video of the presentation and honestly I think you're making a big deal out of nothing.  It's not like she's wearing multicolored tattoo sleeves.

@Tshirtgal - I watched the video.  I not only found the tattoos distracting but also, the multi-colored nails.

I kept trying to read the tattoos!  One was coordinates for a location; another was obviously a significant date; a set of Egytian symbols.  Some that looked like waves?  Even one on her ankle, when the camera moved to the sandals she was wearing.

Yes, she's entitled to do whatever she wants; her body, her choice.

But, yes, I also find that many tattoos distracting - too much going on.  (And no, that doesn't make either of us an "old fuddy duddy".  It's just a personal preference.)

I will say the most creative tattoos I ever saw were on a young male hairstylist at a salon I used to frequent.

He had the entire cast of the old television show, The Munsters on his arms.  These were large, very colorful tattoos too.  They went perfectly with his entire aesthetic.

I did wonder though, years from now when his tastes changed if he'd be happy with them.

Tattoos are not permanent. Today they use modern technology (lasers) to remove them and that costs more than the price of the tattoos themselves.

Looks like a five year old scribbled on your arms and you forgot to wash it off before coming into QVC for your shift.

Nope, not a fan, but who cares.

I am not a fan of tattoos especially those that cover much of one's body.  However, if that is what someone wants to do, that is their taste.  Disliking tattoos  doesn't make one a fuddy duddy, it is an opinion.

No, you aren't an old fuddy duddy.

The more tatttoos on a person, it's like look at me, some can't stop.

My sister got a large rose tattoo years ago and nobody liked it in the family

except her. Her choice, her body. Now years laters she no longer likes it.
