I still don't understand why this campaign is so controversial for so many.  I'm over 50 and I don't feel insulted, demeaned or any of the other terms I've seen used lately.  I'm sorry so many of you are bothered by this but it's really not something to take personally.

I think Q is trying to find a marketing schtick that creates sales. I don't blame them for that much. Every business does it.

These shows have nothing to do with uplifting older women, selling new products, or anything else. It's the same old, same old with a generic show title. And, how Q can allow hosts and guests to be obnoxious, scream over each other, and vie for attention is beyond me.

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

It seems to me like the morning shows, a combination of everything with hopes of better sales by customers watching everything instead of only a thing or thing of interest.

I will never watch all of that. I watch only shows I'm interested in purchasing. I won't waste time watching kitchen shows or linens, or electronics or techs, etc.

It's a way of trying to keep people watching while waiting for their favs.

I'll look in but probably won't stay long.

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

I wouuld only be unusually interested if Sandra and David were introducing NEW PRODUCTS.  I was just thinking today how stale their products making airtime have gotten.
Online they have some really nice new things. But they never make it on air.
We all know the brands that have been beaten like a wet horse and rode to the barn!
Goodness.
It doesn't matter how they mix up the shows if they show the same old ame old.

Show some new products!!

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

I'm not insulted but I do think they are making a big deal out of turrning  50. I'm well over 50 and believe me it's not that bad  We do not all  fall apart at that magic age.  Ok so I'll admit it, I'm 80 and still play golf, do the treadmill everyday, go for lunch with friends etc.   Don't let the likes of  Mally and others think it's so bad...

LOL they are really not abandoning their over 50 schtick without a fight!

They just added the UNDER 50 to the "age of possibilities".    I guess they ran out of older hosts!    So the "over 50" as the definition of this time in life is gone!

@NYwoman  That's interesting.  I saw about 2 minutes of David's most recent Coffee Talk and he said this Age of Possibility "is for everyone, including people in their 20's, 30's, 40's and up."  I thought he was misinformed at the time.

But it seems QVC has realized they need to change this up a bit if some shoppers feel excluded or ignored.

I'm now seeing the younger, non-Q50 hosts, like Kerstin and Nancy promoting it on their social media pages.  But a significant change in wording: They're using the tagline, "Celebrate YOUR Age of Possibility."

Re: Alive with Possibility! New Show

Well said!  What in the world does, "coming into my power" mean anyway?  It annoys me everytime I see the silly promo.  The whole "Age of Possibility" is one of the worst marketing schemes ever!   Hopefully, they will abandon some of that sillines when they get into full holiday mode.
