@CoG:  What on earth is the "telescoped personality"?  I've found references but they don't seem to apply here (children of addictive parents are known to have some sort of "telescoped personality" which predisposes them to behaviours). Psychoanalysts are the most "telescoped" I've ever met if we apply the definition broadly.

In my opinion Albany is just acting for TV and this is her selling persona. I doubt if she acts any thing like QVC Albany in her real life. As far as the accent, sometime she twangs and sometimes she does'nt,ACTING!

It's not her accent that's so bad.  It's her voice.  I find her unpleasant to listen to.  Not a soft, calming, pleasant voice,  but loud and abrasive to me,.
