OK they can stop with this agenda anytime!  I am SOOOOO tired of hearing this.  I simply turn the channel when any of this is spoken.  Enough is enough.  Anything at ANY age is possible as far as I am concerned.  OK I  am doneSmiley Happy

Re: Age of Possibility

[ Edited ]

Mary Beth Roe said she was asked why she wasn't a part of the Q50 Age of Possibility.  She said it was because it's a 2-yr commitment, and she knew at that time she was retiring before then.

So if you're tired of it now (I'm right with you there), it's going on for at least 2 years!

They will continue to drill it into the hosts too.

Sandra had a presentation this week with Bitsy Jennings of the Joan Rivers brand.  They were having fun about how the clothes need to be designed to accommodate a woman's body, especially the shirts need to offer lots of room in the hips.

Bitsy made a joke about things going downhill over 50, after referencing her over-50 birthday.  Sandra's smile went to a rather stern look on her face and quickly said, "or better, it's the Age of Possibility," then totally changed the conversation.

I just thought, wow.

In reality, the whole concept and implementation is simply age shaming.  It's the equivalent of body shaming, but age related.

So what if you are 50?  Is it shameful?  A sin?  A crime?  A fault?  Isn't it just 50 and what does that say about you?

Do we need to hide?  Be better?  Simply because of our age?  Nothing else but a number on a calendar?

You have brought up exactly what I have been thinking.  I thought they tried to bring in a younger audience.  Didn't work....

so they realized lets try something else. Now they are shoving it down our throats.  I'm 65 ...I don't want to hear it constantly.  I am fine.  I feel fine.  But I am sooo tired of them constantly hearing about it.  And they constantly have the logo on the sctrrn...either age of possibley or over 50 and fabulous.

I work at home.  I like to have QVC as backround.  I'm finding I either have it on mute or change the channel.  And as a result ...a lot less buying.  I seriously believe that is not what they wanted.

I think many tired of the whole thing soon after it started. I really don't believe it is helping their sales.

I don't watch and I'm tired of it. I do check out the website almost daily and it is always the first thing I see. For me, it is getting OLD.

@bargainsgirl, I agree, and I think that what you are doing - not watching - is the right thing to do.  It sends a message that this type of programming is NOT what their viewers want.  I thought the campaign was too heavily marketed to be sincere from the beginning, and I have not watched any of it.  "Look at you, how wonderful you are now that you are OLD"!  No thanks.  I'm sad to hear that it is a two-year campaign - ugh!  But, they are doing me an indirect favor by encouraging me to shop elsewhere.

All talk, and the same old products sold for the age of possibility.
