Additional Changes at the Q

I am aware that many on these forums are distressed about the personal changes occurring at the Q. Some of these are favorite vendors no longer appearing, hosts leaving suddenly and otherwise and policy changes regarding shipping etc. I overheard a conversation tonight that troubled me. I do not know if it is accurate, the source was a media type from Philly so maybe or maybe not. Be that as it may, this individual was telling a group that a friend of his will be out of a job soon at the Q. This person works in the Accounting department and the entire accounting department at the Q in West Chester, Pa is moving to Romania. Yes, that is what I heard. Not the people . The jobs are moving to Romania. Very sad to hear of this. Can anyone verify the accuracy?

I have not heard that and it would be unfortunate if that were the case. Fingers crossed the info was wrong.

Or maybe just confused....if you do a search there is a Romania in PA, it's in Somerset (sp?) county. With any luck maybe they are just moving down the road a bit?

A while back QVC moved some of their opertion to Poland. Haven't heard about Romania..........

They moved some to Poland in January 2017.

There was a story circulating a couple of years ago that QVC was sending accounting jobs to Poland. I never heard anything else about it so don't know if it really happened or not. I looked up Romania Summit, PA and it is south and slightly east of Pittsburg. Who knows?

Haven't seen anything on the topic. It wouldn't surprise me though. Unfortunately, it's not unusual for companies to consolidate or restructure.

That was old new, current several years ago. Business is always changing; nothing stays the same. It's not healthy. I don't know anyone who is distressed. It really affects us as customers very little. We have no way of knowing what the climate is at Studio Park.

Usually, these types of changes are posted in the local media. This was the first whiff that I had heard and it was at an event in the same geographical location as QVC. Thanks to all for the links.
